The Mamiya C220 is a medium format twin-lens reflex — heavy, deliberate, and entirely uninterested in speed. It shoots square on 120 film, and produces negatives with a tonal range that 35mm simply doesn't match. These are images from the city and the countryside — Paris, Nantes, the Vendée. Shot on HP5, mostly in winter light, mostly without rushing.
