Produced in 2001, this work by French artist Benoit Ruff captures Hollywood, Los Angeles, through a lens of kinetic energy and abstraction. Created during a period when Ruff was working in Hollywood creative studios, the photograph reflects his deep immersion in the cinematic and visual culture of the city.

The image eschews the concrete reality of the urban sprawl for a chromatic explosion, where the neon signs and building lights of LA are transformed into fluid, vibrating streaks of color.
