Who says you can’t get married in one of Paris’s most iconic museums ?
Inès & Mehdi have called Paris home for as long as they can remember. When we first connected, our conversations naturally turned to architecture, their deep love for Le Marais, and the people who make their lives here meaningful, family, lifelong friends, and the city they know by heart.
It felt particularly special to photograph their wedding in the heart of their favorite neighborhood, at the remarkable Musée Carnavalet.
Housed in two historic private mansions, the museum is a beautiful celebration of Paris itself, grand yet intimate, with elegant courtyards, sculpted façades and centuries of the city’s history, woven into every room.
For Inès & Mehdi, it offered exactly what they envisioned: an intimate gathering surrounded by their closest people, while still feeling unmistakably Parisian.
There is something unique about getting married in a place that feels so deeply connected to the city you love. Rather than simply choosing a beautiful venue, they chose a piece of Paris one that reflected their story, their neighborhood, and the life they have built together.
It is what makes photographing weddings in Paris so meaningful: creating imagery that captures not only how a celebration looked, but the sense of place, history, and emotion that made it entirely theirs.
