The youngest wouldn’t put the rose down. She picked it the day before.
Five of them at the Trocadéro, in matching pinks and burgundy. Mom and her oldest sat forehead to forehead between frames.
I didn’t have to direct much.
Paris family photos at golden hour. If you’re planning one this summer, you know where to find me.

She wore red lipstick and a birdcage veil. He couldn’t stop looking at her.
We met at the Trocadéro before the crowds arrived. She told me twice she wasn’t photogenic. Then he whispered something in her ear and she forgot the camera was there.
The Eiffel Tower stood behind them the whole session. I’m not sure they noticed.

She said yes somewhere between the first frame and the last. You can see it if you look at her left hand.
I’d met them thirty minutes earlier near Pont de Bir-Hakeim. He was quiet. She kept fixing her hair. By the time we got to the water, he was laughing with his whole face and she was leaning into him like she’d done it a thousand times.
The Eiffel Tower was doing its thing in the background. I was mostly watching her hands.
If you’re planning a Paris proposal and want someone who’ll disappear once the moment starts, I’m around.

She wore red nails. He wore a ring bigger than hers.
Paris played along. Tower lit up right on cue.
Blue hour on Pont de Bir-Hakeim. One of my favorite spots for couples who know how to dress for it.
Twenty minutes of shooting. Rest of the night theirs.

She had no idea.
She thought they were just going for an early walk. That’s the thing about Paris at sunrise. Nobody suspects anything. The city is too quiet, too golden, too much like a dream to feel like real life.
I was already there, waiting by the trees in the Tuileries. I watched her come down the path. I watched the moment her partner dropped to one knee.
Her hands went to her face before her brain caught up.
That reaction. Twenty years of this, and it still gets me every time.
We spent the rest of the morning together. The Louvre, the bridges, the archways. Two people newly engaged, still a little stunned, holding hands like they couldn’t believe it had actually happened.
Which is exactly how it should feel.
If you’re planning something like this in Paris, I’d love to be there for it. DM me or find me at photographers-paris.com.

The little one won’t remember Paris. His parents will make sure the photos do.
They booked two locations. Trocadéro first, before the crowds found the bridge. Then the Louvre as the sun dropped behind the pyramid.
The four-year-old kept pulling his tie straight, copying his big brother. The teenager pretended she wasn’t enjoying it. She was.
Mom picked the polka-dot dress for the Eiffel Tower frame. Twenty years from now, that’s the one they’ll hang in the hallway.
Families fly to Paris for a week. The trip ends fast. The photos don’t.
DM me to plan your family session. Two locations. 24h delivery.
