My last post here was late summer.

Now in the cold of winter,
memories return…
Memories of things
lived and created together,
memories of quiet, beautiful encounters that unfolded through autumn.

Time spent with beautiful souls.

New York,
soft light.

Stories happening
in between.

A piece of that season, left here.

To miss something deeply is to have loved it fully.
What a privilege it is to have known something worth missing 🤎

I met Dorothy and Bodhi on a soft autumn morning, right after I had learned that my family had lost our cat.

I remember walking toward Île Saint-Louis feeling quiet and a bit heavy… and then meeting these two connected souls that radiated such peace.

Dorothy had come to Paris with Bodhi to start again… a month in the city, a month of rediscovery, of walking through change with the sweetest companion by her side.

We talked about love, loss, and the importance of being in our own photos. Because we take so many of the ones we love, but rarely of ourselves with them.

That morning reminded me why I do what I do.
How photography, at its heart, is about connection, about love in all its shapes. And it’s about being seen, even when words fall short.

This year feels like it’s flying by, yet somehow March feels so far away. That morning with L&H comes back to me like a sweet memory… wandering through Paris, talking about life, sitting for coffee, as the city was waking up around us.
These are the sessions I treasure the most, not only for the photos but for the little moments in between 🤎

Five weeks that filled my heart ✨

Back home in Paris after 5 amazing weeks in Brazil. From the south where I grew up to the northeast I had never seen before, it was a journey of family, food, work, friends, rest, and so many memories.

1. My mom and dad. I had to start here, they’re simply the most caring and incredible people.

2–3. Celebrating my grandma’s 95th birthday with candles over polenta instead of cake. Couldn’t have been more perfect.

4. Doing what I love. Even while prioritising rest, I still fed my creativity with sessions in beautiful places and with the sweetest people.

5. Time with friends. I didn’t see everyone I wanted, but I’m grateful for the memories with those I did.

6. Training this little one to become a photographer.

7. Atlas 💔 I got to spend time with our cat before he disappeared. We still hope he’ll return. I’d never felt heartbreak over a pet before, and the grief is real.

8. Feeling home and missing home.

9. Pinhão, polenta, and endless comfort food. I was so spoiled, and every extra calorie was worth it.

10. Of course, I also worked. Fourteen sessions edited by the wood stove. If you got your photos from me recently, chances are they were finished during those cozy nights in Brazil.

11–12. The little things, like going to the gym with my mom and actually making it fun.

13–16. Traveling to visit my people is always the best combo. This time I finally explored Rio Grande do Norte in the northeast. Stunning in every way. But the best part was growing closer to my little brother, a true highlight of the year.

17–18. A few days in the highlands, and a photo session in a breathtaking spot that made my heart even fuller.

19–20. Some images from the amazing session with . Because seeing yourself through kind eyes truly touches your heart.

So many little pieces that made these weeks unforgettable. My heart is full.

I’m feeling refreshed after this “summer” break and ready to create with my lovely clients again 🤎

Lately, I’ve been craving spaces like this: where there’s more sky than buildings, more sand than pavement.
Places that allow silence, distance, and breath… so that people can become the focus.
The kind of place that makes me wonder if maybe one day I’ll move somewhere that lets me work like this more often.
Maybe back here - this island that have been my home for 7 years.

I met L&J again, now by the sea… after two sessions in Paris - one of them on the day they got engaged.

My story with these two goes even further: they’re the filmmakers behind the video pinned to the top of my feed. A piece of art that holds so much of who I am 🤎

Every day, my phone randomly highlights moments from the 20k+ photos living on my camera roll.
Among them: bits of different trips, food, animals, flowers, selfies with people I love and… many photos from client sessions.

It might sound odd at first: other people’s memories mixed with mine.

But this couldn’t be further from the truth, as these are my memories too… and I’m so grateful for that: just like any other highlighted image, they bring me right back to the moment. And if you look at my photos closely, I bet you can tell exactly how I was feeling when I took them.

It’s a damn good feeling - one I try to translate into images, since I can’t quite do it with words ✨

Last summer in Paris, K&R reached out to me as they were preparing to leave the city they had called home for years. I remember finishing the session feeling a little bittersweet… they were so lovely, and I would have loved to be their friend. But I was grateful to have captured their goodbye, a way for them to hold onto Paris even as they moved on.

Fast forward a few months and we meet for a new session. This wasn’t a goodbye - it was a hello. A new home, new streets, new beggining. The beauty of the discovery.

Being a photographer can feel lonely sometimes, as most of my clients aren’t from Paris… and our time together is often fleeting. But moments like this remind me that, in a way, I have friends scattered all over the world.

Cheers to all my clients-turned-friends, wherever you are reading this from. This is how I feel about you. Drop a comment and let me know where you’re reading this from - I’d love to feel a little less alone today 🤎

Can I please use this space to share some of my own memories? 🥹

It’s just that these feel too precious to me to end up forgotten in my pile of external HDs… so a dump with some random images from this trip might be a good idea… don’t you think?

From the stunning art we got to see to simply people watching, the week I spent in Florence left me extremely inspired - I can’t wait to have a chance to get back there!

Play, laugh, cuddle, snuggle, hug, jump, spin, lay on the grass, run… the list of verbs goes on.

Every session unfolds in its own way, and that’s the beauty of it.

When I meet my clients for the first time, many tell me they’re afraid they won’t know how to pose - especially with kids involved. They worry they won’t know what to do.

And I always say: you do you.

I don’t impose anything. Some people are quiet; some run around like crazy. Some look at the camera non-stop; others never do. My goal isn’t to make you do what I want - it’s to help you feel comfortable being exactly who you are.

Looking at these photos… do you think they had to hold a pose and get bored?

Por las calles de Madrid ✨

Nothing inspires me more than travelling and discovering new places, exploring the different light, shades and shapes. Madrid was an amazing first trip of the year and I’m looking forward to the next ones to come.
