Photography students and emerging photographers: this is your last chance to exhibit your work at Paris Photo and at Gare de Lyon, one of Paris’ main train stations.

Organized in partnership with , , and , the Paris Photo Students Prize supports the next generation of photographic talent.

One laureate will receive a residency with FUTURES – European Photography Platform, while another will be awarded a grant by La Saif.

An opportunity to gain visibility, meet leading photography professionals and present your work in two major public and cultural spaces in Paris.

[Paris Photo Students Prize 2026]

→ Call for project: One week left to apply.

Created by Paris Photo, and , the Paris Photo Students Prize is open to photography and visual arts students across Europe.

Four laureates will present their work at Paris Photo 2026 and in one of Paris’s major train stations.

The programme also includes a residency opportunity and a grant awarded by to one of the laureates.

Please note that applications now require the creation of an account before submitting a portfolio. This step only takes a few minutes.

Applications close on June 8.

Créé par Paris Photo, et , le Prix Étudiants Paris Photo s’adresse aux étudiants en photographie et en arts visuels de toute l’Europe.

Quatre lauréats présenteront leur travail à Paris Photo 2026 ainsi que dans l’une des principales gares parisiennes.

Le programme comprend également une résidence ainsi qu’une bourse attribuée par à l’un des lauréats.

À noter : les candidatures nécessitent désormais la création d’un compte avant le dépôt du portfolio. Cette étape ne prend que quelques minutes.

At Paris Photo 2025, this conversation explored how photography can become a space to shape and question identity.

Organised as part of ´The Last Photo’ the exhibition presented within the fair from Estrellita B. Brodsky’s collection, the discussion brought together artists Tania Franco Klein and Martine Gutierrez, whose practices use staging, performance and self-representation to examine how identities are constructed and perceived.

À Paris Photo 2025, cette conversation a exploré la manière dont la photographie peut devenir un espace où l’identité se construit et se questionne.

Organisée dans le cadre de « The Last Photo », l’exposition présentée au sein de la foire à partir de la collection d’Estrellita B. Brodsky, la discussion réunissait les artistes Tania Franco Klein et Martine Gutierrez, dont les pratiques mobilisent la mise en scène, la performance et l’autoreprésentation pour interroger la fabrication des identités et leur perception.

À travers des images minutieusement construites, les deux artistes réfléchissent à la façon dont le genre, les normes culturelles et les rôles sociaux influencent l’apparition des corps face à l’image. L’identité n’y apparaît jamais comme stable, mais comme quelque chose qui se rejoue, se négocie et se transforme continuellement.

At the Yale University Art Gallery, “August Sander’s People of the 20th Century” brings together more than 600 photographs from the German photographer’s lifelong project.

Rather than approaching portraiture as individual representation alone, Sander used photography to construct a broad social portrait of Germany.
Farmers, workers, artists, families and political figures appear within a carefully organized structure of groups and typologies, photographed between 1892 and 1954.

The project moves between classification and individuality: each image belongs to a larger social framework, while resisting reduction to a single “type”.
This tension would profoundly shape the history of documentary and portrait photography throughout the twentieth century.

Presented in its entirety, the exhibition offers a rare opportunity to understand the scale and structure of Sander’s project.

À la Yale University Art Gallery “August Sander’s People of the 20th Century” réunit plus de 600 photographies issues du projet mené toute sa vie par le photographe allemand August Sander.

Plutôt que d’aborder le portrait comme une simple représentation individuelle, Sander utilise la photographie pour construire un vaste portrait social de l’Allemagne. Paysans, ouvriers, artistes, familles ou figures politiques apparaissent dans une organisation rigoureuse de groupes et de typologies, réalisée entre 1892 et 1954.

Le projet oscille entre classification et singularité : chaque image s’inscrit dans un ensemble social plus large, tout en échappant à toute réduction à un simple “type”.
Cette tension marquera durablement l’histoire de la photographie documentaire et du portrait au XXe siècle.

Présentée dans son intégralité, l’exposition permet de saisir l’ampleur et la structure de ce projet majeur.

At Paris Photo 2025, Éric Tabuchi presented ‘Kristen & Yass’ a deeply personal publication built from family archives, letters and reproduced images.

Centered around the lives of his Danish mother and Japanese father, the book reflects on memory, disappearance and the ways images can preserve fragments of a life long after language fails.

Rather than producing new photographs, Eric Tabuchi constructs the book entirely through reproduction (photographs of documents, typed texts, archival images) turning the photobook itself into a space for transmission, doubt and remembrance.

À Paris Photo 2025, Éric Tabuchi a présenté ‘Kristen & Yass’, une publication intime construite à partir d’archives familiales, de lettres et d’images reproduites.

Centré sur le parcours de sa mère danoise et de son père japonais, l’ouvrage interroge la mémoire, la disparition et la manière dont les images peuvent préserver des fragments de vie lorsque le langage devient insuffisant.

Plutôt que de produire de nouvelles photographies, Eric Tabuchi ssemble fragments d’archives, correspondances et reproductions photographiques dans une forme volontairement discontinue, faisant du livre photo un espace de transmission, de doute autant que de souvenir.

⏳ Less than two weeks left to apply for the Paris Photo Students Prize 2026.

Organized by Paris Photo in partnership with and .en.gare (), the Paris Photo Students Prize has supported emerging photographers and art students enrolled in European schools since 2017, offering exceptional visibility to a new generation of artists.

🏆 The winning portfolios will be exhibited at Paris Photo in a dedicated space, as well as in one of Paris’ main train stations.

The 2026 jury includes:
