From Christchurch to Montmartre, New Zealand composer Jeffrey Grice didn’t plan on relocating permanently to Paris over 40 years ago.
However there are moments in life that can guide you into the unfamiliar to truly unlock one’s potential.
‘I had to escape to Paris as I found New Zealand to be incredibly introverted in the 1970’s. I was coming out in a big way and I had this dream that there could be a place where I could be another person, the person I wanted to be’.
