En 1975, Trinh Manh Tuong arrive à l’université Paris 6 - Pierre & Marie Curie, qui partageait alors le campus de Jussieu avec l’université Paris 7 – Paris Diderot. Tuong découvre un Club Photo au Centre Culturel de P7 auquel il décide de participer, et commence alors à donner des cours aux autres élèves

En 1978, l’atelier prend la forme d’un stage de 3- 4 mois, proposant des cours théoriques et des séances de prises de vue et de tirage en noir et blanc à l’ensemble du personnel et des étudiants des universités P6 et P7, mais comptant aussi des participants de P1, P3, P4, P5 et P8. Cette même année, deux grandes expositions ont été organisées : une au FIAP (Foyer International d'Accueil de Paris), une au Centre Culturel de P7. En 1996, l’Association Photo Paris 6 (APP6) (et P7) est créée par des étudiants, en vue de se consacrer entièrement à l’organisation d’expositions. En 2000 est organisée une grande exposition collective des participants composée d’environ 350 photos. En 2005, une autre grosse exposition de ce type est organisée. En 2006, après 30 ans d’activité de l’Atelier en argentique, celui-ci s’oriente vers le travail de l’esthétique de l’image grâce à l’arrivée du numérique et à la fermeture du laboratoire argentique alors à la disposition des participants de l’Atelier sur le campus. En 2007, l 'association de l'Atelier Photo Paris 6 et Paris 7 est devenue l’association Coups d’œil et l’association photo Paris 7 a été créée indépendamment de celle de Paris 6 qui gère depuis l’Atelier Photo Paris 6, permettant ainsi à la photo de continuer à P6. Les deux associations n’en sont pas pour autant détachées, et Coups d’œil reste en contact avec Trinh Manh Tuong. Expositions :

Creation:
In 1975, Trinh Manh Tuong arrives at the University Paris 6 (Pierre & Marie Curie), that used to share the campus of Jussieu with the University Paris 7 (Paris Diderot). Tuong discovers a Photo Club at the Cultural Center of P7, decides to participate in it, and giving lessons to the other students (see interview : http://journaliweb.over-blog.com/5-categorie-1142107.html). In 1978, the atelier starts being an internship of 3-4months, offering theoric lessons and sessions of shooting and black and white film developing to the whole staff and students of P6 and P7 universities, but also counting on the participation of P1, P3, P4, P5 et P8. This internship would be directed by Trinh Manh Tuong himself. This same year, two great exhibitions have been organized: one at the FIAP (Foyer International d'Accueil de Paris), another at the Cultural Center of P7. In 1996, the Paris 6’s photography association (APP6) (and P7) is created by students, with a view to be entirely devoted to the organization of exhibitions. In 2000 is organized a large group exhibition of the participants, composed of about 350 photographs. In 2005, another large exhibition of this kind is organized. In 2006, after 30 years of analog photography activity, the Atelier starts being directed towards a work on image esthetics thanks to the apparition of digital photography and to the closing of the analog lab that used to be available to the participants on the campus. In 2007, the Paris 6 and 7’s photography association has become the Coups d’Oeil association and the photography association of Paris 7 has been created independently of the one of Paris 6 that manages till then the Paris 6’s Photography Atelier, allowing then photography to continue at P6. But the two associations are not completely separated from each other, and Coups d’Oeil remains in contact with Trinh Manh Tuong. Exhibitions:
