From decembre 2019, Russiantearoom gallery is renamed as Liza Fetissova Gallery & Agency, to mark the new stage of the gallery story. The model of the classic gallery is changing, it is reinventing and transforming itself, adapting to the brave new world. The gallery today is free and nomade, with broader interests and goals: we invest particular parisian and not only parisian spaces, that have a history, a story to tell and a soul. The photography is still our main subject of investigation and object of desire, but we are interested in other art forms, especially in fine crafts, where human know how crosses its fantasies. Since 2007, the main gallery expertise is photography, with a particular interest for Russian (in a sense coming from ex-URSS territory) artists working with this specific medium. The gallery represents the elder generation, whose names are already part of the history of Photography - Antanas Sutkus, Sergey Maximishin, Evgeny Mokhorev, Igor Moukhin, as well as the new generation of russian talents, like Oleg DOU (1983), internationally known and acclaimed by press, collectors and foundations, or Margo Ovcharenko (1989), as well as Danila Tkachenko (1989), both prize winners and collected world wide. We are also representing international artists engaged in the quest for the beauty of truth, or the truth of beauty - Tcheque photographers Pavel Banka and Jiri Hanke, Mexican Fernando Brito, Australian Chris Fortescue and Japanese Shunsuke Ohno. In 2017, after conceiving the Russian presence at REVELATIONS art fair, dedicated to the fine crafts, at the Grand Palais in Paris, the gallery started exploring the craftsmen artists working with different materials. We juxtapose the photographers to the artists who's know-how level goes beyond its limits, giving birth to the unique, non-utilitarian pieces, charged with meaning.
