The family and I made a quick escape to the Hamptons. I had a photoshoot in town, and we had been looking for an excuse to see the newly reimagined Hedges Inn. And while I was there, I figured why not hop in front of the camera for Sarah Wetenhall Untitled Talk Show.
What the Wetenhalls have done with the hotel is pretty remarkable. With the very talented David Netto , they’ve given this historic inn an entirely new life. It feels fresh and considered, but still completely at home in East Hampton which, in a place with this much history, is no small feat.
I was especially happy to create a collection of custom black-and-white photographs for the hotel, leaning into that wonderfully nostalgic, slightly preppy Americana spirit of summer out East.
One of my favorite parts of what I do is working with great designers and clients and seeing where my photographs end up. A photograph can live one way on its own, but put it in the right room, surrounded by the right wallpaper, furniture, books, and people, and it becomes part of a much bigger story.
And I’m always happy when my work gets to help tell that story.
