Famous for its spiral staircase, known as the Scala del Bovolo in art history, the palace dates back to the late 15th century and belonged to the Contarini family. In 1499, the then-owner, Pietro Contarini, commissioned a master builder to construct a spiral staircase in the courtyard of his palace, in the unusual form of a series of loggias opening into ascending round arches. The staircase culminates in a domed room offering a magnificent view of the entire city. For a time in the 19th century, the palace served as a hotel and today houses an educational institute

Mornings in Venice 🫶 the city of love

You know Venice isnt it? Which moments are yours?

Venice is everyday, every season and all day long different...

My experience is coming from childhood on, and looking behind the doors, being kind and always curious 🫶
In these weeks we all went for the carnevale, yes but there is more always, but slow... first are my moments heading to Murano, my love for the glass work, colours and designs, I fall for small pieces I can use for my art work...

But how was the morning? Yess you are right, a foggy morning with a lot mystic mood, very special, enjoying a crime out of a book. And going by the vaporetto means, that the way to go will be different, due to the fog the lines are limited, passed from the island back, its my time, walk new ways away from the filled ones with tourists...

Hope you enjoy walking with me... we will continue soon 🫶
