Quite a strong image. Taken at Talybont-on-Usk with the Nikon D700 with Nikkor 28-105mm f3.5-4.5 Prime lens, I noticed the Taff Trail sign and immediately saw an engaging picture, the colours and threatening clouds made for a cracking shot.

Quite recently I have had a number of people saying about the legend, how professional it looks and the sheer bulkiness of it especially with the prime lens, and the same issue came up each time, only 12.1mp!!!. I tried to explain that the D700 still blows away today’s cameras in terms of colour's and crystal clear images, I was in Brecon yesterday, didn't take many photos but the ones I took sums up everything I said to them. Once more, extremely proud of each, the dog and canal shots are up there with some of the best i've taken over the decades and the combination of the Nikon with Sigma 35mm Art Lens works like a dream. A couple of days ago I took some shots of Abergavenny Market armed with my professional compact camera FujiFilm X100F for a personal project which i'm hoping to put some photos forward for a portfolio towards my Masters in Photography. Am well pleased with the overall outcome and a huge thank you to the Market Management and Trade Owners who were extremely supportive in me taking the chosen photos. Please also find three photos, two of a wonderful and naturally gifted musician, a good friend of mine Stephen Russell and a photo I took of the old Colleseum Picture House now Wetherspoons, am well proud of this shot as it shows off my artistic skills and one I could quite easily put forward as a strong contender for national photographic competitions. 📸📸📸

Lovely weekend, took in Talybont-on-Usk and Llyn Brianne and managed to take some more breathtaking images. The D700 once more proving to be the absolute legend. The colours are rich and vibrant, truly outstanding. Hope you all like this short collection.

Second set of photos taken at the Talybont-on-Usk canal path. Amazing how many passers-by complemented the camera, and couldn't get over the weight, overall with the battery grip is just under 6lbs. Love the scenery and beautiful colours. The Legend at it's absolute best with the Sigma 85mm f 1.4 HSG Art lens. Hope you all enjoy them. 📸📸📸

I was in Abergavenny yesterday armed with the D700 and the Sigma 85mm f:1.4 DG Art lens.
Over the past two weeks, work started on a mural to celebrate the town of Abergavenny. Having been a former signwriter for a short time when leaving school, I recognise a wonderful piece of work, i've put my own individual stamp on the photos, and the way the camera caught the rich and vibrant colours capture this perfectly. Hope you all like them.
