Abigail and Mark brought in the beautiful Millie for her Newborn session, and this little lady was such a joy to have. It was beautiful to watch how much she is loved beyond measure by mum and dad, like a star in their eyes.

These moments captured will forever be cherished, and I don't take for granted that I get to be a part of what I can only describe as pure magic!

My love for children, photography, engineering, writing, and the arts didn't just happen. It was a gene passed down from someone whose love for me was everything.

My Dad!

Today, 24 years ago, he was in a car accident, but he really didn't die. He lives inside of me, fully - every expression, every skill, every drive (apart from the ability to speak French - I didn't quite catch that 😄). The man lives on in every photograph I have taken, every child I have cuddled, every story I have written, and every torque wrench I have ever held.

But the most important thing he left for me was his faith in Jesus - that one cannot be quantified. It is the foundation of everything else and one I will never give up.

Today on this page, I want to celebrate the life of the man who, even though I have now lived most of my life without him, still challenges me and urges me to be all that he believed I could be.

I love you, Sam, forever! 🥰

Still on the New Wine matter - the first encounter I had with this beautiful woman was when she auditioned for a role in a Musical Theatre Production I wrote and was to direct for my local church's Christmas event. When she opened her mouth to sing, I was sucked into some kind of fantasy world that I wished I didn't have to come out of. You would think her voice was the biggest part of her personality until we began rehearsing. She is th P in Personality and I loved every bit of working with her. Yes, she was the perfect MARY!

I now get front row seat into her world and I watch her blossom in everything she does - a woman of many talents.

So Ailsa, this is me saying that I'm glad you came to that audition and everything after that 🥰🥰🥰

Last year, I received a very generous gift from Jireh's grandma - the flowers she used to make the arch for her daughter's wedding. To say I was overwhelmed by her kind gesture is to take it lightly, because I know how much these flowers must have cost. Yet she let me have them at no cost 💐💐💐

So when I heard that her grandson was born, I figured that using these flowers to photograph him would be the best way to bring them back to life in their story. Mum and dad graciously brought the most beautiful Jireh along, they even let me use their wedding photo for this post. 😍😍😍

All this to say that I'm surrounded by the kindest of people and it makes me love what I do even more - to see that I can keep creating beautiful memories that families will cherish forever - with backstory and all the emoshhh 🥰🥰🥰

If you're coming for a Newborn session, I'll love to know if there's something you cherish that you might want to incorporate in your photos - a family heirloom or something that has sentiment value (as long as it can fit into my space 😅) - you never know what's possible if you don't ask. 💙💙💙

Will AI take our jobs?

That's the trending question.

It’s easy to see the possibility, but I know that there's something AI cannot replace, and that's the love and the warmth our clients feel when they walk into our space and realise that the effort put in to create their set-up was done just for them!

Creativity.
Love.
Time.
Effort.
Presence.
The Experience!

That's our job! That's my job. And I love every bit of it 🥰

You don't have to wait till baby is born to look for a Newborn Photographer or book a session. Give yourself some time to plan and leave the worry to us.

But we know that life can be lifeing and things end up falling out of our to-do lists.

Even then, it's never too late.

Now is the best time to get in touch and freeze those forever memories that disappear as fast as Aberdeen's sunshine 🌞😅
