Supporting local businesses is really important to both myself and Miss Quinney, and whenever we can, we’ll always choose local over the big corporate chains. 🫶🏻

In between collecting our auction winnings and heading back to Quinney HQ for a day of work, we stopped off at Farm to Table in Aberdeenshire for some lunch🌱

We had lunch, picked our own pea pods, met some alpacas and goats, and had a wander around. There’s something so special about eating fresh produce that has literally been grown right there on the farm.

They also have lots of amazing local suppliers throughout the business, from flowers and dog treats to drinks, fresh fruit and vegetables, and so much more. It’s exactly the kind of place we love supporting.

And the pea pods… 🫛😂

I was SO excited to find them because you hardly ever see them in the shops anymore. I genuinely consider them one of my favourite snacks of all time — and I kid you not, the two MASSIVE bags Miss Quinney and I picked were completely demolished by me within about an hour of getting home. 😂

So yes… I’ll absolutely be back next season for more!

If you’re ever in the area, make sure you pop in and support this lovely local business. 💚

✨ FINISHED PIECE ✨

This one has been a labour of love! Using antique stamps from my collection alongside this beautiful illustration by Tony Sarg.

The book I’m working from is from 1946, but the illustration itself dates back to the early 1900s — and this style of illustration has to be one of my absolute favourites to work with. There’s just so much detail and character in it. 🥹

I’ve spent the last 2 days (about 12 hours!) staring at tiny pieces of paper, carefully choosing stamps and building up all those little details. It’s definitely one of the most detailed pieces I’ve created so far.

Looking back at my first pieces compared to this one, I can really see how much my skills have developed. It’s mad to think how far I’ve come just by experimenting, practising and, quite literally, sticking thousands of tiny pieces of paper together. 😂

I hope you like this one as much as I loved creating it. 🖤

A little introduction to the art I’ve been creating over the last couple of years ✂️📖

Today I started working with this gorgeous little book from 1946, filled with the most amazing illustrations. It’s small enough to come travelling with me, so I’m planning on taking it along for the adventure and seeing what I can create with it. 🌏

My work is micro-collage, created using antique stamps, old illustrations and vintage ephemera. I love taking something that already has a history and giving it a completely new life.

A huge part of my process is building up tiny details with stamps — mixing different colours, textures and shapes to create depth and bring the original illustration to life in a completely different way.

It’s taken a couple of years of experimenting, learning and A LOT of very tiny pieces to get to the level of detail I’m creating now, and I’m honestly so excited to see where this little book takes me.

This is just the beginning of this piece… 🫶🏻

Welcome to my world of tiny collages, old stamps and things with a story. ♡

Another auction day with Quinneys ✨💎

There’s just something so exciting about being surrounded by treasures and hunting for those hidden gems. I honestly think everyone in the antique trade is a treasure hunter at heart 🥹✨

We’ve collected our winning lots from yesterday and I can’t wait to take you along for pick-up day — I’ll share that with you very soon 👀

This is my last auction day with Quinneys for a little while as I’m heading off to Australia for 6 weeks! 🇦🇺✈️

There’s lots to get done before I go, and I’m definitely going to miss my Quinneys adventures (and all the jewellery 😭💍). But don’t worry, I’ll still be working away behind the scenes and creating content for Kate while I’m away.

One last little treasure hunt before I go… follow Quinneys Antique Jewellery to see all the amazing gems she has to sell

✨Learn something new every day in the world of antiques✨

When I was at Errol, I caught up with my good friend Chloe and her dad, who are the faces behind They’ve been supporters of the page right from the beginning, and I’m so grateful for all their support, knowledge and stories from the trade.

I wasn’t actually sure what these were until I got a proper demonstration — along with a cracking story about their history.

And who knew they were car indicators?! Because I definitely didn’t! 😂

You really do learn something new every day in this trade💛

✨Such a good day at Errol Antique Fair!✨

There were so many interesting bits to have a rummage through. It was VERY windy 😂 but actually really lovely being outside.

I got to catch up with some familiar faces from the trade, meet some new people and even bump into a few of you who already follow me, which was so lovely 🥰

I had some really interesting conversations about how the trade is changing and got to learn so much from people who have been doing this for years. I honestly come away learning something new every time.

I also picked up a few bits and… I STUCK TO MY £20 BUDGET! 😂👏🏻
There were definitely some tempting things, but I’m getting better at the spending self-control!

Quinney’s came to meet me later and picked up a few bits too, which I’ll show you later this week 👀

Now I’ve got loads of content to edit, so expect a little come-antiquing-with-me very soon!

I’ve definitely got the antique bug back and I’m hoping to squeeze in a few more fairs this year. ❤️

✨OFF TO SCOTLAND’S NEWEST ANTIQUES & VINTAGE FAIR! ✨

Today I’m heading to Errol, right between Perth and Dundee, for the very first Errol Antiques & Vintage Fair! And I am SO excited. 😍

There are loads of dealers here, so I’ve got a couple of hours to have a good rummage and see what treasures I can find… BUT there’s a catch.

I’ve only got a £20 budget. 💷👀

What can I find for £20 at a huge antique fair?!

I’ll be filming another video to show you exactly what I find, and later on Quinney’s Antiques is coming to join me! 🥰

I’m also going to be bumping into some familiar faces from the antique world, so I can’t wait to catch up, have a rummage and share it all with you.

Wish me luck… and let’s see what £20 can buy! 😂

Let’s get back to the land of fairy tales… ✨📖

The story continues.

Back in my little creative spot, with my glue, my stamps and a new story waiting to be told. Piece by piece, the magic comes together.

I’m so ready to share this one with you all. 🤍
