Bridal Bo***ir doesn't have to mean white lingerie

Can we clear this one up?

Booking a Bridal Bo***ir session does NOT mean spending two hours dressed head-to-toe in white lace.

Unless you want to, obviously!

Your session can have a bridal feel without every photograph being overtly “bridal”.

Bring the veil. Bring the wedding shoes. Bring the white lingerie.

But bring the black bodysuit too.

Bring the shirt you love.

Bring something completely non-bridal if it makes you feel fabulous.

Your finished album can move from soft and romantic to dark, strong and a little bit dramatic.

Because you're not coming to me for a collection of generic bridal photographs.

You're coming to create photographs that feel like YOU.

And if that involves a rather enormous pair of angel wings at some point, I'm absolutely here for it. 🖤

There is something I really love about this photograph.

The softness of the ivory fabric against the tattoos, jewellery and flashes of colour feels so completely individual.

Tattoos are works of art, but they're also part of the person wearing them. I would never want to hide the things that make somebody distinctive. Quite the opposite. DND is about photographing you, rather than trying to turn you into somebody else's idea of what bo***ir should be.

And this image also shows that beautiful photographs don't always need to show a face.

For some women, anonymity is important. They are happy for me to share a photograph where they can't be identified, while other images from their session remain completely private. For others, nothing is shared at all. Both are absolutely fine.

You are always in control of what happens to your photographs.

You do NOT need to arrive at your Bridal Bo***ir session knowing how to pose.

You don't need to have practised in front of the mirror.

And you definitely don't need to know what to do with your hands. (Nobody ever knows what to do with their hands!)

I guide you through the whole thing, where to stand, where to look, what to do with your hands, how to move - and we'll take our time.

Most of the women who come through my studio door aren't models. They're women who've decided to do something a little bit outside their comfort zone.

The nerves usually last about five minutes.

Then we get on with having fun.

Confidence isn't something you need to bring with you. It might just be something you leave with.
