I love, love, newborn photography, capturing those first precious few weeks of your new baby/babies life. Their little toes, their windy smiles, what can be more perfect? Photographing children & animals is hard work, I like to make things easier and more enjoyable by taking these photos outside in a natural, relaxed location - let's have some fun & create some wonderful memories. I want to captur

e the fun & laughter of being together, relaxed, a genuine visual reminder of your lives. I am a documentary style wedding photographer based in Abergavenny, a very picturesque town situated below the Sugar Loaf Mountain. My approach is unobtrusive and discreet, the vast majority of the photographs are taken in a photojournalistic manner during the wedding without intrusion nor instruction, allowing you and your guests to relax and enjoy the day and for me to produce an unique record. Sadly I had to retire from newborn & family photography last year, it's been a struggle to accept this, so it's taken a while to get round to sorting the studio out.

I have these canvases, frames, albums and plexiglass roundels here and am selling them off cheaply between £10 & £25. If you are the person/s and would like to buy one please message me.

If anyone recognises the people in them please alert them :)

I also have lots of uncollected prints too, some of you have contacted me & I'll get back to you this week :)

This location is beautiful, 1000's of daffodils in a secluded woodland setting. I still have a few spaces to fill, lets just hope the weather behaves.

I have several locations I like to use throughout the year, most involve flowers. Daffodils, magnolias, bluebells, cherry trees, wild meadows, heather, autumn leaves, the river, mountains, all not too far from Abergavenny or within it.

Its that time of year again believe it or not! Daffodils are in full bloom, I'm just hoping for a couple of nice days in the next week or so to arrange times for those wanting some beautiful family photos.

In previous years we've had some gorgeous weather in March & April, lets hope we get some now. I much prefer outdoor sessions for children, its much more relaxed for everyone involved and I get much more natural images than I do in the studio.

A new sibling, how exciting. Big sister loved him and even let me photograph her with him, I'm not sure Mama & Daddy thought that would happen 😂🤣😂

I had actually already photographed big Sis as a newborn herself, but she didn't remember, she knew there were photos of her in the house though as a baby.

Whilst I'm very aware Newborn Photography is a luxury in this current climate and not all have the budget for the full packages. So I have available a range of more budget friendly mini-wrapped newborn session packages. (These are just for the baby though, no siblings or parents are included) that may suit your needs instead?

This beautiful little one came for a little visit. A very precious baby - as are they all, but Daddy lived with us for quite a while, so she's that little bit extra special🥰😍

Hopefully I'll be able to get the rest of the family in for a photo of them all together. Apparently it may prove a little challenging 😂🤣😂

I know I should post more often, but life has been so busy, and post-covid illnesses are flourishing it seems, especially if you have Grandchildren 🤧😷. My lost dog volunteering has also been busy, we found a dog that had been lost on the Skirrid for 48hrs the other day, waiting 5 hours for Mountain Rescue to come save them from a rocky ledge..... very challenging for them, especially as darkness was falling!

Autumn themed sessions are well underway, more neutral colours for some, others full blown autumn leaf colours! - Guess which I prefer 🤣😂🤣

Towards the end of the month Xmas will be involved, but for now we're concentrating on the autumn tints.

Look at the perfect skin, the beautiful little cheeks and the cosy, sleepy look.

It was a pleasure to photograph such a well behaved baby, we actually finished his part in record time and we had to wait for his big sister to arrive.

She apparently, is not so keen on photos, and would quite like the baby to go back, however we did manage to get some very cute photos of them together which I'm sure will have been very pleasing for their Mama & Daddy

I was so pleased to meet this little one, I've known her Mama ever since I moved to Wales many years ago. Her and her brothers went to the same small school that mine did, sadly now closed down.

I think the colours go beautifully with her perfect complexion, she also slept most of the way through the session - which makes it all go much quicker and is so relaxing 😍

And I'm sure her Nana will be pleased to know that apparently my DNA makes me 38% Irish - who'd have guessed, 28% Scottish and only 18% English now, with a bit of Welsh & Scandinavian thrown in too 😂🤣😂

I haven't forgotten you all, I've just been very busy with other projects!

Hopefully they've mostly finished now, so I can get back to posting in the evenings.

This is an update from 6 years ago! That was the last time I photographed them with the blossom. There was just one child then - the family has grown into an adorable bunch of lively boys since.🤣😂🤣
The blossom will only be here for another couple of weeks if it's not damaged by the rain/thunderstorms due later this week
