Today I am launching a new page https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61590768001475 it is designed as a companion to run alongside my personal page, Reg Whittam and the GARTH DAWSON STUDIO page ( the one you are on ) .
If you can find the time to have a look at it and then a) follow it b) 'like' it and c) HOPEFULLY ENJOY IT I would be thrilled.
It's basically going to be a kind of blog with longer posts than I put on my usual pages and it is there for me to talk about whatever crosses my mind...so...BEWARE ! 😉

Well...The world cup has beaten us today... we've been absolutely dead with few visitors and even fewer actual customers BUT...BUT... our time has not been wasted.
I've created a NEW FACEBOOK PAGE to run alongside this one. It will be specifically for posts that are longer than normal...a BLOG really I suppose. The post will be about all sorts of things, Photography, Cars and Music certainly but also anything random that crosses my mind and that I think may interest you... There is nothing on there yet but once I've had a chance to fine tune it I'll be posting ( blogging ) regularly and hopefully some of you will find it interesting..even stimulating. The page name is " R-Type ". More info about it soon 🙂

Don't forget folks...tomorrow, Sunday 7th June is OPEN DAY at THE STABLES. We are here 12-4 and there is lots to see ( and do ).
Our friend PHIL THE POTTER is offering to let you have a try at 'throwing' on his potters wheel..just £10 for two goes !. Also joining us is Susan Spencer a graphic designer and illustrator who goes by the name of NUEVO ARTE DE SUZY. It's her first open day and she is taking commissions 🙂. We will be here to help you with all your framing, photo-restoration and video transfer needs of course.

This week we have framed some war memorabilia, an avant garde landscape painting and an original impressionist ( style ) painting amongst other things. It's so nice seeing so many varied works of art. Here is something different again, a cross stitch piece. The careful selection of frame and mount combination, along with our 'tru colour' specialist glass to show maximum detail and give added UV protection really show it off at its best. Everyone has their own taste in frames but we always offer advice on what WE feel will work best and show off the full beauty of any picture. Some people are happy to go with our choice, others want something different. There is no 'right' or 'wrong' . Just occasionally though a picture and frame combination simply screams out at you and everyone can see that it's just right...this was one of those...The picture of the Raven works so well with this 'gothic' moulding and reversed double mount. ... "But the Raven still beguiling my sad fancy into smiling".
