⚡️ MY NOGGIN CLOCK IS OUTTA WHACK ⚡️

This weekend I had a wedding the day after my birthday on a Sunday. This has thrown my noggin clock so outta whack that so I don't know if I'm coming or going, what day of the week it is & woke up this morning wearing school uniform ready to wake & bake & hit my maths lesson like it's 2001. The only constant is my constant enrapture with the human forms of Laurie & Ryan. No not me, a different Ryan, yes I do love it when a groom has the same name as me, it's the only time I actually remember names by looking at my own driving license intermittently throughout the day.

These babs tied the knot in Saltaire in the spectacularly beautiful United Reformed Church. Now I lived in Saltaire for a good few years but never actually ventured inside this unreal building. Safe in the knowledge I didn't instantly light on fire upon entry I captured this magnificent two within this colourful atmospheric beauty amidst the unreal sounds of who put on a right show all day long. Also, just look how frickin beaut Laurie & Ryan look. Also their daughter Margo brought a whole new level of frickin adorable to proceedings before we headed outside for confetti, a bus ride for the guests & some badass portraits around the village I used to call home.

Sheesh I will forever love making portraits around Saltaire. Loitering on peoples doorsteps, a swift half a pint & a little explore of Salts mill gave me all the feels before I drove us to one of my all time fav venues, for the party to begin. An entrance paved the way to the greatest food based spread I have ever laid eyes on from the wonderful Not to mention the legendary trio of cake based goodness from Also just check out the decor & styling put together by Laurie herself. Retro goodness as it's finest.

Some badass car park groups, a couple of pints of Faith & a whole lotta heart brought us into the evening where the amazing lit up the dance floor with more lighting than a fish tank of LURRRVE. It was all just perfection right until the even more frickin perfect rocked up. Honestly any time I see Darren & team I get the warm & fuzzies & even more so because they gave me a pizza & stopped me from having to get a Maccys on the way home. 😂

Laurie & Ryan were such a frickin joy to be around. Legit some of my favourite photos of the year in this gallery so have a bloody look already. Here's to this magnificent two. XOXO

⚡️ I HAD A HOLIDAY. NOW I AM NOT ON HOLIDAY ⚡️

I’m writing this by a pool in Crete, I’m probably posting this back at my desk surrounded by dirty Shutter Go Pants, unattractive rocks found at the beach & a load of film that I’m not sure came out because my underwater camera refused to advance the film half way through the holiday 🙄. Thank f**k for my Ricoh GR. Never mind though because right now I’m rewinding back in time to when the amazing Lorren & Rob tied the knot over at Wharfedale Grange.

Wharfedale Grange was a new venue for me. I liked it. Even more so finding the bits where they probs don’t want me to photograph, like next to the septic tanks round the back. I appreciated the “Married at first sight” sliding doors too.

The morning was spent with Lorren and her bridesmaids and their absolutely frickin adorable baby girl Iris. As Rob stood in the spotlight these beaut two said their I do’s amidst fairy lights and magic. Honestly Rob & Lorren were an absolute Joy to be around. The moment when Lorren found out Rob had cut off his actual shirt sleeves was a sight to behold. Lorren’s fury was only enhanced by me cheering on said sleeveless glory by taking several portraits of Rob’s biceps 😂😂😂 Soz Lorren.

After groups, unreal food by the ALWAYS awesome Hog & Apple, Belting speeches & HOLY MOLY LOOK AT THE SHREK CAKE. SWOON! These two beauties took me to a romantic pond for photos only to realise said pond was as dry as a Nuns pocket ham. Needless to say I laughed for an uncomfortably long time until taking said photos anyway.

The music by the beaut was awesome. Side note: thanks for being my dinner buddies! & when the drinks were a flowing the party was a showing & confetti explosions haled a dance sesh that went long into the night.

Only the dance floor was empty for a little while as a bloody massive impromptu rugby game started outside. This was definitely the first time I’ve watched a Bride get tackled (In a rugby game FFS get your minds out the gutter ya buggers) But amidst the setting sun people fell to the floor a lot, threw balls a lot & it ended with a massive pile on. You can probs tell I’m not up on my rugby terminology, but what looked like good elongated egg based fun was had.

My egg based fun was truly in the heart for these two though & as Rob drove his wife to the floor in the most romantic way possible uttering the sweet words of “Just go down Lorren and stay down” I left with my heart so frickin full.

Here’s to the magnificent Lorren & Rob XOXO

⚡️ THE MOUNTAINS CALL ⚡️

Wow this is a whirlwind of a week with three weddings, packing for a holiday & the kids on bloody school holidays. I actually needed that 4 hours of brain space driving to the epic Lodore Falls to photograph the incredible forms of Sam & Ian in a Lake district elopement for the ages. Not only was it Sam's birthday but these guys managed to keep a whole frickin wedding secret from their family & friends. With only their adorable dog Peggy in attendance alongside me, the wedding manager & Nigel of who was legit one of the warmest loveliest humans i've ever met doing this job. These two said their I do's amidst the rolling mountains, lakes & jaw dropping scenery of the Lake District.

Sheesh that bridal suite had such spectacular views only surpassed by the absolute beauties getting ready in the morning as I entered like a bedraggled hermit. Exploring the nearby Jetty, double exposing wild deer, heading up to a viewpoint overlooking Derwentwater & beyond, dodging showers & cooing over peggy all damn day long. Hell that dog was adorable & weirdly reminded me of my mum 😂 This Lake district elopement had everything you could want all wrapped up with an intimate meal for two, a wedding cake & a whole lot of heart.

I'm keeping this one short as I have million things to pack & don't want to forget my Shutter Go... Undercrackers on me jollies. In the meantime soak up the frickin magic of these photographs & again massive congrats & love to Sam & Ian.

⚡️ LIONS, RINGPOPS & GARDENWARES, OH MY! ⚡️

There's not many weddings I do that are filled with so much joyful frickin chaos as this one. The incredible Zoey & Elliot got married in the middle of a garden centre. I arrived not acknowledging any of the wedding signage, carrying a thousand bags, traipsing through pot plants & garden tools like Charlie Dimmock with a ni**le on. What I was greeted with was such a beautiful pocket of tranquility aka Weetons Food Hall at The Barrows.

Not only was the outdoor ceremony led by Zoey's Main of Honour so bloody spesh, but this wedding had such a mish mash of awesome folk all in on place & I knew right away this was gonna be a good one. I mean these guys tied the knot using frickin ring pops, not butt plugs which I initially thought they were when a best man struggled to get it out of his rear "pocket".

Also before I forget can we all bow down to the awesome Andrew of we had a right laugh all day. The dude played some banging songs & nearly got tea bagged during a Chinese lion dance. Oh yes I said frickin Lion Dance! Holy moly not only did this wedding have a Chinese Tea ceremony which I frickin adore, but they also had Lion dancers. Spectacular colour, people being smothered, all the laughter, magic & music carried out by the cutest humans I ever did see. This was seriously a spectacle & right after I set up the badass portrait taking centre stage in this little preview post. YES!

Outside Zoey & Elliot got serenaded by one of the Lion dancers during an impromptu song. The little dude literally suplexed the mic out of Andrew's hand before singing Slipknot on the table. (Some of this happened) Right after I grabbed some quick groups as I could tell Elliot was getting more inebriated & I needed to act fast. Then I realised it was too late as him & his pals decided to drop their trousers to show me their very own hairy ring pops. Honestly I've gone 16 years without this happening & now it finally has I feel dirty inside. I've not put the picture in the previews coz I don't wanna get banned. There's only one majestic hairy ar****le aloud on this page & that's me.

Straight after I walked around the garden centre with two drunk people while we got some funky couple portraits & handled bottles of "Made for Meat" in the BBQ section. When we got back Elliot's mates were planning on doing a 3D (Dudley boys wrestling move from WWE) through a b**r pong table but decided against it solely because the table didn't belong to them. Not because someone might of died or anything. Needless to stay I also tried to stop them by standing next to said table with a camera & shouting "COME ON DO IT YOU PU**YS!".

Tenacious D & an impromptu "Not having a first dance" paved the way to inappropriate glow stick usage, ties tied around heads & some of the most eclectic dance moved I've ever witnessed.

Honestly I knew going in that this wedding was going to be absolute love fuelled chaos & it did not disappoint. What I didn't expect was what a frickin ray of sunshine Zoey was. (& Elliot) Genuinely the kind of personalities that warm your cockles as soon as you meet them. I cannot thank you guys enough for being so damn awesome all day long. This wedding was indeed one for the ages.

Here's to this magnificent two.

How to be a trendy wedding photographer in 2026. I remember when Dutch tilt was a thing at weddings last time in 2013. Yes I’ve been going that long. Gonna try bring spot colouring back like a badman, watch this space. Nothing but love for 2026 photographers living life at 45 degrees.

⚡️ MY KIND OF HYMN⚡️

Ok ok I'm just gonna come out & say it. I'm not one for a church wedding. Of course I'll always photograph them, but holy s**t have I had some jobs worth vicars who would rather I stand outside than photograph the wedding. But this one was quite possibly my favourite church ceremony of all time. Mainly because the Vicar was bloody lovely & these guys got to sing Nick Cave Into My Arms. It's not often I get teary eyed during a wedding ceremony but honestly hearing the guests & choir sing this beautiful song in a church when lets face it, it's not the most religious friendly of tunes. The opening line "I don't believe in an interventionist God" says it all really.

The pure magic of Kate & Russ all day long was a treat for the eyeballs as well as the heart. Right after the ceremony Kate, Russ & the whole wedding shebang took a 15 minute walk down through the woods to the spectacular Woodthorpe Hall. Now I was convinced I'd been to this venue before, but when I got there, HOLY SMOKES! What a picturesque setting only matched by the absolute beautiful humans that was their staff. Legit these guys couldn't do enough for me all day & I was so grateful.

Also just check out the decor in the marquee. Kate put on her notes in her wedding plan, "we have a lot of decor but it might look s**t so I'm not sure I want photos of it" 😂 How wrong could she be. An eclectic explosion of colour & frickin coolness awaited our arrival including two beautifully (hand made by the groom) David Bowie & David Byrne face-in-hole boards. YES!

More portraits amidst the jaw droppingly beautiful grounds of Woodthorpe Hall proceeded epic food, an awesome band, a burning shopping trolley & I MET A BABY SHEEP DOG!!

What a perfect day. What a perfect love.
