Thanks to SAAL DIGITAL, I have just sent a beautifully finished Pro-Line PhotoBook to my niece and new husband, celebrating their wedding day.

Sure, it takes some time to create a masterpiece – so, as a belated wedding gift it worked out a treat – and consequently more like an anniversary present. I’m sure they’re fine with that!!

However, I wanted to give high praise indeed to the company that printed the book… SAAL DIGITAL. Aside from SAAL’s extremely prompt, helpful and professional customer service, their ‘ease-of-use’ software and the range of quality finishing options, made the creation of a now cherished PhotoBook a doddle.

As a professional designer and photographer most familiar with Adobe and CaptureOne software, I found SAAL’s proprietary design and publishing adequate software simple to grasp – with ample graphic assets to suit every book builder. And, should you get stuck, SAAL’s online tutorials are extremely helpful – as is their info-chatline.

Also, I could not find fault with their extremely high quality printed finish and the end cost. Slightly pricier than some, but totally worth it for quality. Believe you me – I’m a very fussy customer when it comes to them’s things! So, if you have in mind to produce your own PhotoBook, like for a wedding album or any other special event worthy of ‘memento’ – I highly recommend SAAL DIGITAL Pro-Line PhotoBooks.

TREC DUNECHT PHOTOS ARE READY NOW!

WET, WET, WET, WET, WET!… I mean like, how wet could TREC DROWNECHT get? Maybe you noticed too… but halfway through the PTV competition it went quite a lot wet. And with all the weather apps suggesting that ‘it ain’t gonna get no better’ – I confess, the Dunecht downpour forecast got the better of me, my gear and of course my self-image as a hardened adventurer-slash-photographer. Regardless… way too wet it was!

SO, with my sincerest apologies, I had to do a runner before my equipment ceased to be… unfortunately, before some of you may have passed my way on the PTV course. For those of you that missed out on having photo's taken of your saturated self, again I apologise. However, on the bright side (perhaps, the wet bright side) if you were on the trail within the first hour or so – click on through. Fingers crossed, I got you!!

AND if you are interested, here’s a link to an entertaining video on my FaceBook page showcasing my work with pups and pets along with equestrian portraiture and eventing work. Hopefully, my video has inspired viewers enough to get in touch to chat about booking a fun day out to capture your lovely pup, pet or progeny at play!

Back in the Game! Taken last weekend; this balistic gingery mob are the offspring of MooseyBoy and Buffy (great great Gran and great great Gramps). Not one them does as they're told. They're all completely mad. And they never slowed down. But it's just how we love 'em! Good thing I got me a quick lens, huh!

Quite a fitting memorial to a beautiful pup we so sadly lost over xmas last year. Having entered my favourite photo of Moose to a photo library – in a potentially comical category "Urban Wildlife" – it was selected into the top 50 amongst over a million (other) photo's. Thank you PicFair... I am sooper-well chuffed. And, if MooseyBoy still roamed our woods and hallways, he would be happier than a well-loved vizsla in a toasty blanket with Buffy beside. You'll find his photo not that far from the top of the article.

Hello... I've just compiled my fab collection of Scottish landscape images available now for previewing on my ShootProof website. Ideal as greeting cards, gifts or high quality prints. Just click on through to my gallery for a look-see. Fingers crossed, you might just fancy a pack of seasonal gift cards or even an panoramic wall print to help you feel a dash-more out-doorsy! Either way, I'm sure I can help you out!

Okay… time now for some seasonal melancholy away from the world of mad. And a moment to appreciate an exceptionally stunning Scottish winter this year – not that I am ‘permitted’ to see anything further from the house than the dog trails and the sheep fields of Newbigging. However, the snow has stayed on the ground and created some remarkable light shows.

I'm thinking of printing these as a collection to sell as Xmas Card sets. So, if you're interested in a set for next Christmas, kindly let me know and I'll give more thought and preparation to producing a box set – or some such thing!!

Okay! So here’s a pony photo I shot especially for my fantastic brother Mark Ryder who lent Vicky and I this car ( yep, his precious Mustang ) to cruise around Brisbane for three weeks when we visited recently in February. Rumbling around town in a thumping great 5.0 Litre V8 made a difficult visit a hell of a lot cruisier! Bruv, you are a legend – and thank you so much for your generosity and good spirit. I can now tick ’Drive a Mustang’ off my bucket list, even though I’m extremely likely to put it back on real soon!

Oh, and to all my horsey friends and clients out there on FaceBook, this is what horsepower really looks like. Welcome to my Pony Club!

REAL PROUD to see my photo's of Harvey framed, and ready to hang and admire on the walls and tables around Lynette’s home. Thanks again Lynette, and of course to Harvey for all your handsome award winning poses on the day (as is oh-so-evident shown here in your photo’s). Available now… affordable high quality frames and custom composition art prints.

OFFICIAL FORECAST – winter is ebbing, with better weather on it’s way for the next week or two! So if you've had in mind all winter long to photograph your fluffy friends; your dogs and cats, your drakes and adders and/or your mules and horses, et cetera – at home, outdoors, in the woods or on the beach at play, wherever, but in the sun – now’s an opportune time to organise a fab day out to take some great photo’s.
