Evening everyone, here's my first post of 2021 😂
The past 12 months have felt like 12 years
I was gonna say that this pic symbolises the current mood. Lots of good things just round the corner. Vaccinations, easing of lockdown restrictions etc etc
But let's be honest for a minute. It's 2021 and the world is so messed up. Not because of covid, but because of the way we treat each other.
Women's rights, black rights, trans rights have all been in the news recently and always for the wrong reasons. People are derided in the media and on social media as irresponsible and selfish for protesting issues which are in fact just basic human rights.
It was only 12 months ago when we all pushed a well known celeb to kill herself, and we all said then a few months later, like clockwork, we did the exact same thing to a woman who's only crime was to marry into the Royal Family, and maybe being a little bit black 🤷🏻♂️
I think if this pandemic has taught us anything it's that life and freedom are precious things. Let's work on treating each other with kindness and respect. And if you can't do that, maybe stay in lockdown a while longer 😂
