Taken between Milkham and Bratley View in the New Forest. The late January mist mixed with the low sun helping to create layers and creating a stronger depth of field to help your eye look through the image.

Hi everyone,

This is an appreciation post for all of my followers and an exciting announcement.

If you haven't seen already, my original FMead Photography page has been renamed to Frank Snaps. This is so I can still share my wildlife and landscape images with you all.

This also means there is a rebrand of FMead Photography offering portrait and family shoots, on location or in your home with my portable studio setup.

If you would like to keep up with all my photography exploits, please consider following the new FMead Photography page as well as this one.

FMead Pet Photography is still dedicated to pets and Chequered Images will still be for my motorsport adventures.

Thank you for all your support and thank you for supporting me through 2026 and beyond

Frank

Hi everyone
It is with regret that I have decided to deactivate my photography page as of this coming Sunday.

I just haven't got the time to dedicate to it anymore. Life moves on.

Thank you to all my followers and regulars on the page.

It's been emotional
Warmest wishes
Frank

I was very privelidged to be asked to capture 9 day old Finley at his tiniest, adorable self. Having never attempted anything like this sort of photoshoot before, its was only natural that I would be very nervous, especially as Finley is family and wanted to get everything perfect for the proud new parents...

Hopefully I can share more precious images next week of our newest family addition.

After the last post, I thought a return to more pleasing posts was needed.

Canada Geese and their young goslings on a very popular pond that they call home for now. If you know, you know...

Right...
What low life scumbags, frankly there arent words to describe exactly what these very poor excuses for humans, steal a lamb from its mother, KILL IT and STRING IT UP on a road sign for motorists and holiday makers to see on the way in to the New Forest???

I was informed about this barbaric act yesterday morning (Wednesday 30th April) after it happened the night before. Police we called and forensics were taken.

Unfortunately this isnt the first instance of something like this happening, there was a deer dismembered and its head was put on display in the middle of Burley high street last year or year before... WHAT THE HELL?!

I personally have been visiting this field everyday since Sunday. Even meeting the farmer that was very kind in letting me take as many photos as I could handle. He even shared some local knowledge with me.

It was also a chance to roll back the years by helping keep the sheep in the field while he drove in and turned round to release more into the field from his trailer. Although his farm dog was miffed it didnt have a run around thanks to my keen sense to help out.

All I can say to said farmer is Im very sorry this has happened to you and hope it hasnt damaged your faith in humanity too much...

Enjoy the photos that I was able to take with permission. Its very sad to think that one of these bundles of joy was the victim of something so hellish and seriously hope that they are caught and karma gets them very quickly and justly.
