Phil Mundy Photography An amateur photographer, my main interests include wildlife, big cats, birds of prey, motorsport and landscape. All images on this page are my own work.

I started with film using Olympus & Zenith cameras before having a long break with photography. The digital era re-ignited the flame, picking up Sony, Panasonic and Olympus cameras before the current Nikon D7200.

Neil Yates climbed out of this untouched except for perhaps pride. The marshals however on post 4 are now looking for a new hut after his vehicle flattened it. Thankfully part of the racing rules, means the marshals are away from the trackside for this event. Training and teamwork quickly kicked in to take charge of something which could have turned out much worse. So thanks to the"Orange Army" who give up their time to assist in the running and safety of these events.

I'm amazed at the stupidity of the crowd running in to get the phone selfie, not considering safety issues in potential leaking fuel or oils. Also overhearing some of the media photographers bemoaning why so called red zones had been put in place so they couldn't roam free. Incidents like this highlight safety is paramount on and off track.

Racing is potentially dangerous. Everyone has a duty to minimise the risk, whether on or off track.
