This weekend, Molly and Michael got married at the always spectacular Tankardstown House. The first wedding from each house and Molly being an only girl, I can only imagine just how much this day meant to everyone. People flew in from all over the world to be there. Australia, USA, the Middle East... a testimonial to two people who have already lived a full life and excelled in things. Michael told a story during his speech, and I think every single lady in the room had tears in their eyes, myself included. On one of their earliest dates, they climbed the peak at Rostrevor, looked at the view, and saw a shooting star whizz overhead. He made a secret wish and only revealed it during his speech - that his wish came true that day.

Wonderful ### ❤️

Shannon and Ryan, a perfect match. Everything they do, it is with intent, attention to detail, thought, care and consideration. A true pleasure to be in the company of the McQuaid and Jones family this weekend at The Old Rectory, which was, yet again, perfect!! Theres been a few messages about this preview already. Look at that dress! Wow 👌

When Scotland and Ireland meet in Australia -

Niamh and Connal got married on Saturday and it was amazing!
The best crowd, so much fun, a full scale rave was happening during dessert and before the tea was served!!
Honestly it was just brilliant from start to finish. I think they are still actually celebrating even today lol!

Love it x

Colleen and Niall originally planned to get married in February this year but fate had other plans. Instead of a late winter wedding in the countryside they had a late spring in the city. It couldn't have been better. It was perfect! What really mattered to them most was their baby girl, Cassie, their dog Teddy, their family, friends and making sure Granny was a part of it too.

Dropping in at her house as lunch was served, taking a walk in her garden and playing catch with Teddy before everyone headed to Belfast, this was a wedding with so much heart.

Loved it x

Yesterday. A total and utter joy.

My body is aching from keeping up with the sheer energy and fun of this entire crowd.

Quite simply, one of the best ever.

More to come, and larger preview to come too but just a tiny one for now because it stopped me in my tracks. More of this please. Perfect imperfection, genuine moments, who the hell cares if its raining x

A Saint Patrick's Day Wedding for Eimear and Peter ☘️
What a brilliant day everyone had (2 days actually!) on Tuesday. A riot of colour, good music, great people and all the trimmings!
It was a joy to spend time with Eimear, Peter and their family and friends. The most chatty, friendly, good hearted couple ever. I loved Eimears girly style, from her little bow on her Veil to the pearls on her shoes. She is truly a beautiful bride. Peter is a gentleman through and through and I have so many photos where this shines from him, such as lifting Eimears dress up so she can walk over steps to giving flowers to his mammy and sisters. A thoughtful and lovely couple who are perfect for each other. Special mention to their fur baby Enzo who had a lovely cup of tea that morning and guarded the house like a wee security guard. He was so like my own dog in looks and personality so I could have easily scooped him up and taken him home.
A day full of laughs, music and good people. The holy trinity!!!

Congratulations Mr and Mrs Devlin!

It's only taken 14 years to get caught up on my editing.

Literally.

14 years. Fourteen full years of always having a wedding to do, usually multiple!!!!! I never thought I'd see the day!!!!! It has finally happened! I am on top of the edits!

I have thousands of images that I have never had the time to share or blog. Thousands of them that show the unbelievable beauty we have here. Smiling faces. Good people. Beautiful architecture. Great style.

It's grey and windy where I am today but I know it won't be long until we hear the sound of bees buzzing around us, bird song, lawn mowers humming in the background, people clinking glasses and shooing wasps away with ceremony booklets. I love summer weddings and this year there are some truly beautiful events to attend. My season starts in earnest this March so before I get back into my very well used editing cave, I am abandoning the 14 year hibernation to show you one of the best weddings ever!!!!! Cynthia and Liams wedding day in Drenagh Estate, back on one of the most beautiful days in June 2023. Perfection!!!!!!!

There are certain venues that mean a lot to me. They will be synonymous with a particular wedding that was extra meaningful or maybe acted as a break through moment in my career for whatever reason.

Maybe I will shoot at a venue once and not return for years, if ever. Some venues allude me for reasons unknown even though they are close by. Other times I am in venues that require hours to drive there, and I will have shot there far more often than one that I drive past on a daily basis! It's all very Serendipity. If we are meant to be somewhere, we will be there.

When people who query with me ask "have you been at my venue before?" I want to reassure them that if I haven't, it genuinely doesn't matter. It's like playing an instrument - put a new sheet of music in front of me and I will be able to read the notes. It's OK. I know what to do. Anywhere new, I will take a good walk around your venue the day before (as that's what's closest to source, gardens in bloom etc). New venues excite me.

Ireland has a huge wealth of outstanding, world class wedding venues. It will take a lifetime to shoot in every single one. This year there are several new spots to me. I can't wait to visit them with you x
