I was invited to capture a special event at a beautiful venue. Of course I said yes!

Biddenden Flair Literature & The Arts Festival | Kent |2024/6 held its first event Bloomsburys retreat, staycations and wellness hub on the summer solstice and it was the perfect day to celebrate with words and music.

The event started with a conversation. Alice Vincent and Samantha Baines | deaf author, actor, broadcaster who discussed motherhood, deafness, and wellness.

Then it was time to enjoy the spectacular afternoon tea. The homemade cakes, scones, and sandwiches were beautifully displayed and utterly delicious.

After a short break, the event continued with live music performed by:

It was a lovely event and enjoyed by all. Proceeds from the event go to support Biddenden Library a community hub and a vital resource housed in All Saints Church in Biddenden.

Visiting Godinton House & Gardens in May is a splendid experience. The gardens are lush with irises, daisies, and wisteria. The greenhouse housed beautiful lilies, flowering succulents, and so many more beautiful flowers. I enjoyed walking the trails through wild flowers and grasses and even enjoyed some time with my book. What a lovely afternoon.

A cloudy day at Leeds Castle inspired me to look through the windows to see how the sky changed. How each window had a different landscape and atmosphere because the cloud formations changed so quickly. I noticed how the windows are varied in size and detail and make excellent frames for the beauty beyond them.
I had to photograph them.

Leeds Castle has beautiful windows and the landscape you see through them is stunning this time of year - when the trees are in full bloom, the flowers have blossomed and the sky clouds are moody and magnificent in formation and colour.

A beautiful day to visit and capture the irises, the wisteria, the daisies, and the roses.

I adore this quote. It’s uplifting. It reminds me to do the things I love. Like take photos of flowers in beautiful gardens.
