Yes, it's been a while...
I fell into a bit of a pit there for a few months. I won't bore you all with a long sob story but life has been tough. As it is for all of us at some point. But I am still here and I am still smiling! Most of the time 🤪
📸In case you haven't met me before, I am Sally Bowes and I have been a professional photographer for 11 years. I love to capture moments and freeze them in time so that they can be smiled upon and bring joy for years to come. Whether it's milestone moments, branding images, family fun, portfolios or weddings, so long as it's about PEOPLE (or dogs), I'm in! And if you'd love some professional photos but are terrified of the camera, you're in luck - it's my speciality 😉

School Photographers Wanted!

Is your speciality capturing class-fulls of 400+ bright-eyed primary pupils? Can you marshal mounting mayhem into picture-perfect group shots? 🎒📸

Smiles At School are recruiting Experienced School Photographers to photograph in our portable indoor studios and against gorgeous outdoor back-drops across Surrey, Hampshire and Buckinghamshire. You’ll be:

Running a tight-ship studio setup by 8 am (coffee highly recommended!)
Balancing lighting, lens choices and those all-important cheeky smiles
Confidently working to briefs (system-images, tethered shooting & onsite proof-printing if you’re keen to shine)
Problem-solving on the fly when chairs wobble or noses go missing from the frame!
We pay a cracking rate, offer 2–4 days per week (with occasional weekends if you fancy), and back you up with props, schedules booked up to 10 months in advance and a team who’ve got your back.

🤣🤣 This little chap made us all chuckle with his desire to eat the props..... if you've had a teething baby, you will have been there!

When you skip breakfast before your photoshoot... 😅📸

You know that moment when you realise you’re so hungry you could eat a plastic vine leaf? Yep, we’ve all been there!

Well, this little chap couldn’t wait to get stuck into our lovely spring set at last week’s nursery photoshoot 🌿🧺 — and despite the leafy carnage left in his wake, our photographer Sal couldn’t help but see the funny side!

(Thankfully he didn’t spot the tasty-looking sunflowers behind him... 🌻😆)

Just another day at the office for the Smiles at School team, capturing all the giggles, grins and great big gulps of greenery!
