Where are you off to this year? Hopefully a city or area where you can discover something new. We recently visited Vegas and did some urban exploration of our own with our bag in tow. We love our Leroy Rolling Duffel because it’s stylish & modern, but also versatile with its wheels, handles, and different compartments. It’s the ideal size for a weekend away or an even longer trip. For me, it had the right amount of space (and some!) to fit everything I needed on our one-week trip down south. I’m talking clothes, toiletries, and even shoes (yes, there’s a shoe compartment).
Whether close to home or across the globe, Solo New York is helping us move in style.

Looking outside this morning, I found there’s snow on the ground. Just a light blanket. Nothing like the amount coming down three years ago today, when I got up early to drop off my friend at the airport so he could spend time with his family. We had an eventful time getting there on time, spinning around at times on the highway, but we made it. On my way back I made a slight detour to go to Temple Square and see what it looked like... in a snowstorm, early in the morning, on Christmas Day. It was quiet and peaceful, with just about nobody around. I must have had some kind of plan that morning because I had my camera with me (I hid it inside my jacket to protect it from the falling snow). I’m glad some of the photos turned out, as it’s hard to tell from this shot... but I could hardly see, it was coming down so hard. It was a magical moment, though, being surrounded by the beautiful lights and seeing the temple standing there, buffeted by the winds, but not bothered.
I’m sure Lauren thought differently, as she had awoken back home at some point while I was out adventuring in a blizzard, and she wondered where I was. I was experiencing magic and she was thinking I was pretty late in getting back and the weather was really bad out. And, of course, I hadn’t texted 😬
Moral of the story... don’t let your wife think you’ve crashed off in a ditch somewhere on Christmas. Spend time with friends (and family). And take a slight detour now and then 😉

Beautiful, beautiful Budapest. Not every sunrise shoot works out, but when they do... it seems to all be worth it. Besides, catching local transportation, freezing in the morning air (and then dying of heat as we trudged up the hills to Fisherman’s Bastion), and seeing the glow across the city is a memory we get to keep forever. I have never been to a better beach than this one in Bali. Now, I've been to a lot more forests and mountains than beaches in my lifetime, but I don't think that should take away from how beautiful this location was. Utah -> Las Vegas -> Florida -> Peru -> Florida -> Hong Kong -> Vietnam -> Cambodia -> Thailand -> Bali — that, without all the little details, was how we finally arrived here. Even after so many amazing places, this still took our breath away. (Also, this is shot from an actual camera, not a drone...which to me is pretty crazy!) ⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠
