INSPIRED PERFORMANCE DENTS GLEBE TITLE HOPES
Ispired Talents 4 Glebe Rangers 0
This game was preceded by an impeccably observed minutes silence in respect of the passing of Noreen Hume, mother of former Glebe player and assistant manager Johnny Hume , and grandmother of former player Mason Hume and in sympathy to all the Hume family.
Glebes ambition of being crowned Ballymena and Provincial FL Div 2 champions suffered a huge blow at Mill Meadow , Glebe started slowly allowing the technical ability of the Inspired Talents team to flourish and it was no surprise when after good build up play the home team took the lead. One good chance to equalise for Glebe was spurned before the break, going in a goal behind. Despite ringing a few changes in the second half, the Inspired Talents defence were able to comfortably deal with any Glebe advances and as they searched desperately for an equaliser were vulnerable to counter attacks to which Inspired Talents took full advantage with 3 well worked goals in the final ten minutes. In truth Glebe never got going looking like a team playing their 4th game in 8 days, a punishing schedule for part time footballers.
All credit though to Inspired Talents Football Club and Graham McConnell and his staff on their excellent performance and the style of football they bring.
