🍾 HAPPY NEW YEAR ✨

As I look back on 2025, this post feels like a small but meaningful pause to reflect on a year that held a lot of work, a lot of growth, and a lot of gratitude. Most of these photos were taken in and around Banbury and the Cotswolds, while photographing weddings, families, personal brands and professional headshots for some truly lovely people. This year was not without its health challenges for me, which makes simply getting through it and continuing to do this job I love feel especially significant. Being able to show up for my clients, create work I am proud of, and keep building my photography business through it all is something I don’t take for granted. Thank you to each and every client who has booked me, and especially to those who have taken the time (I know we are all so busy and our attention is in so many places) to write lovely kind reviews to help me reach even more people via searches. It means so much – THANK YOU!

I realised this year that, much like in life in general, I like simple, authentic things. When I started photography, I took much more heavily posed, “epic” kind of photos, that were beautiful maybe, but weren’t natural moments at all. Nowadays, as I changed as a person too, I prefer to focus much more on general prompts and simpler guidance (if any at all) and I think you can tell that my top 10 are all either completely candid moments, or very loose prompts with the subjects doing a natural action instead of holding one careful pose. It’s not as immediately showstopping, perhaps… but that’s my view of life, reflected in my work, I think. The quieter, but truer, moments. I hope the photos will resonate as such with some of you reading this.

This gorgeous family had me photograph their little boy's 1st birthday picnic in the park instead of a traditional cake smash!

Look at this cutie 🥰 I love meeting adorable little ones and usually can't stop fussing over them (if they let me) 🥰

🐾 Gorgeous Joey! 😍

I will be taking dog paw-traits like this one, plus capturing the event itself, at the Dog Show on May 26, raising funds for Medical Detection Dogs.

Come and show your fur baby, and pop in to the photo booth (or reserve your slot in advance to avoid queues!) to purchase fun keepsake photos for a good cause ❤️

On I'm resharing this one off project I did in 2022, fuelled by shocking statistics about how women perceive themselves in photos and in general. explores the effects of social media and selfie culture on women's self-confidence.

It got an amazing number of eyes on it through coverage in various outlets such as and others, and I hope in a small way it has contributed to the slow shift in narrative about body image and the pressure to look perfect (or at least, "better" than the reality) online and in selfies.

Thank you to the 12 amazing women who took part. You can read the full story with photos and interviews with each woman on my website, link in my bio or go to

I'm a total romantic at heart... Because I believe when you know, you know you have found your Person. ❤️ Here's a bit of background to why I love photographing weddings ...

I was only 21 when my Person asked me to marry him, and I knew him so well that I knew he was going to ask, and I knew that I'd say yes. It was a given as the continuation of our relationship... We aren't religious or anything like that, before anyone wonders. We had been living together for 3 months, and... we just knew. We'd met at school but only started chatting online and getting to know each other while I was living in Japan and he in Scotland. I stayed up late a lot 🙈Our first date wasn't even officially a date, but halfway through we realised it was 😬

We got married when I was 23. He looked about 12 though, now that I review the photos... So I am only sharing this discreet one😂 (credit and thank you to .photos for taking it)

Fast forward over a decade and I am just as sure about it. I'd say even more sure than before but we all know there is nothing higher than 100% and it was already 100 back then ❤️

And when I see couples at the beginning of this journey together that is marriage...the declaration and commitment to your absolute belief that you've found YOUR person... It's beautiful and exciting because I know how amazing it is to have someone like that ❤️ Life is hard, this world is tough, and full of uncertainty, so we need that stability more than ever.

That person who knows you so well, who speaks your love language, who instead of grand but short lived gestures does many everyday things that bring you joy and feel appreciated...I love celebrating that for and with the couples who choose me. ❤️

I often cry over wedding speeches and vows because I feel all the feels!

I truly want to hear your love stories, so I can tell them further through my photos of your wedding if you book me 💒

❓ How did you meet your partner? I'd love to read your story in the comments 😻

Can't get over the fact that we had roses at the end of September at T&K's beautiful wedding at Cripps Barn. What an amazing day with excellent food and so much happiness despite what was probably the windiest day of the year! And can we pause for a moment to acknowledge the bride's INCREDIBLE Eva Lendel dress?! 😍👏

Mary (and Darcy the dog)
London, October 2023

"- Where do you see yourself in 10 years time?"
"- I'd like to manage my own needs better so that I can have a more balanced life. I was diagnosed autistic two years ago and it really helped me understand my life and why I needs to do certain things the way I do. Luckily my workplace is very accommodating too. I'm originally from Russia but definitely wouldn't want to go back there..."

What an amazing chat and instant connection I had with Mary. Could've chatted for hours! Thank you Mary 😊 🐾
