Trying to create automatic subtitles for a documentary when you have a northern accent is a nightmare. Davinci Resolve AI subtitle creator doesn't understand me half the time. At least some of the suggestions, for example "Durrumbumbria" instead of "Durham Cumbria border" gave me a laugh 😄🙄

Some good news. My entry into the Wanderlust Visions Awards 2026 with my video short about Teesdale, was awarded third place. This was worldwide competition with over 4,000 entries, and I am really pleased to have been able to showcase wonderful Teesdale.

This Dipper will often feed or forage within a couple of metres of me. On this occasion it landed so close to me the lens could not focus and I had to wait until it moved away a bit. It is never bothered by me sitting there and will sometimes just sing. They have a beautiful song if you are lucky enough to hear it above the sound of the river. I think these early mornings by the river have been some of the best days I have spent filming for a long time. Click to see larger image.
