What a wonderful and exceptionally talented group of people at Knock & Nash - It was my pleasure to attend the private premiere screening of Dance! Dog! Dance! at Tyneside Cinema last weekend. Last year, Maia and James were waiting to meet their little boy, Luca.

Now, somehow, that little bump has just celebrated his first birthday.
Looking back at this beautiful moment from their maternity session, it feels like only yesterday. A quiet moment of anticipation, love and the beginning of a whole new chapter.

I adore the way theatrical lighting can transform dance and carves movement from darkness while capturing the smallest details... letting rich colour and deep shadow become part of the story.

That’s what I love about shooting live performance. The ability to capture the fleeting moment and turn it into something you can return to again and again.
