Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing Emily & Phil's Wedding reception after they were married last month in Santorini.

They chose for their reception with lots of their nearest and dearest, family and friends!

This evening I had the pleasure of photographing & Phil's wedding at

Apparently it's slightly cooler here in Pontefract than when they tied the knot in Santorini a few weeks ago 😂

We started with some group photographs and I also showed off my magic skills of getting a smallish blood stain out of a white dress! Keeping cool in a crisis as always!

Then it was a few couple photographs before heading inside to party the night away!

Hope there's not too many sore heads in the morning! X

decided to also do first looks with her mum, bridesmaids and her dad. ❤️ I'm not sure she's stopped crying since the weekend day tbh!

If you're not sure whether to go for a first look with your kids on the morning of the wedding... Just do it.

Have that moment to soak in seeing your kids on your wedding day looking super smart (and clean) and ready to celebrate you officially sharing their last name 🩵

The amount of times I hear "I'd really love a photograph with both my parents on my wedding day....but it's a bit complicated...."

No it's not....so let's just plan for it.

It's your wedding day and if that is something that you want...let's make it happen.

First things first....talk to your parents. I know the situations but sometimes if I ask them to do this photograph and they don't know I know they're not together anymore they look at me like I've grown an extra head and it can be a bit awkward 🤣

So, tell them it's something you want that I'm not going to make them stand next to each other and hold hands or anything like that....they they'll have you and your partner in the middle of them.

Then....we photograph you together with parent and new partner where required (new I mean even if they've been together 25 years!) or parent on their own with the couple, because this is the image that they will put on their walls...

And then we photograph you individually with each parent.

Covers all bases.
Takes 5 minutes.
Everyone is happy.

And this is why I call it the parent hokey-cokey!
