Flaming Star Nebula (left-side) and Tadpoles Nebula (right-side).
Two distinct star-forming regions in the constellation of Auriga.
Flaming Star resides 1500 light years from earth and spans 5 light years and the Tadpoles is 12000 light years from earth and spans 100 light years
186 x 300second exposures across two imaging sessions in January 2024 and December 2025. Stacked and processed in PixInsight.
I used the SetiAstro Statistical Stretch to initially stretch the data from its linear state. I like how it sympathetically applies the initial stretch allowing further tweaks using the Curves Transformation tool.
