A very special rail this one. Here's Gavin Meanley driving "The Charlie Bang Special" flathead V8 at Santa Pod Raceway in 2024. This rail was a D Class record holder back in the 60's running a best of 10.3 seconds.
This car is a loaner and lucky Gavin gets to drive it on the owners behalf, driving not only in The Wild Bunch Nostalgia Drag Racing Club class but also the The Flathead Meltdown class. It's a stunner and we are all really lucky to see this running at around 11.8s and 115mph at Dragstalgia events in 2024 & 2025...I wonder what it will do in 2026? Can't wait to see 😍

Well, after having a triple bypass, followed 7 days later by another heart attack and more time in hospital...I am finally back...again. Just trying to take it easy and get back on my feet so I can get back to the track and bring you guys some fresh content.

Annnd so, it has come to that time that I have not been looking forward to. This page will be silent for a while (not for good I might add/hope). Next week I am scheduled for a triple heart bypass, must admit I am not looking forward to it but it is what it is.
As a result for at least a couple (or more) weeks I will not be posting as I take time out to recover from the operation and find a way to be comfortable with just doing everyday things.
I'll miss you guys but fear not, I am not done yet...I have waaayy to much stuff to still post.
Unfortunately this is also going to stop me attending events for a few months (totally gutted about that) but hopefully later in the year I'll be back up and running...hopefully with a whole new format for you all...fingers crossed.
So, until my next post, be patient....my posts will return and so will I ✌️😎

In reality it's Ian Merryweathers 392ci supercharged 'banzai' Fiat Topolino Supercharged Outlaw.
No matter what clothes this car is wearing it's still always pulling the crowds and drawing attention.
I belive this might be for sale too...go get it boys.

So the question is...where are these cars now? Remember these two? Great friends on and off the track and two amazing cars. Colin Felstead and his cracking MKII Es**rt and Lee Guy with his Sierra both from Pro ET.
I know Colin moved the the USA and found himself a new wife and was looking at building a new drag car in the USA, but I haven't seen Lee around for ages...and where are those cars...VERY sorely missed by many I am sure.
Are we ever going to see the dynamic duos cars ever again...someone must know where they are now?

Like an outlaw on the run...it's Joel Kerr and his Supercharged Outlaws UK Pontiac Starchief Stiff Shifter racing. This door car car can now run in the 6s and has achieved a PB so far of 6.932 at the quarter mile.
Yes...when this car hooks up....it's like a freight train on wheels. Will be interesting to see the car back out in 2026 to see if it can smash that...fingers crossed. So here's "Stiff Shifter" in all it's glory at Santa Pod Raceway for you all to dribble over...just remember to wear arms bands prior to looking 🤣

A little something for the bike fans today from Dragstalgia 2024, not one but two stunning pieces of bike engineering art from the amazing Mooneys team who not only graced us with these but also with the stunning Mooneyes replica drag car...how lucky were we back then.
