My job isn’t just taking photos.It’s reading a room.

Knowing when to bring the energy, and knowing when to quietly disappear into the background. To blend in. To make people feel comfortable enough to forget the camera is even there.

I’m constantly watching, listening, feeling the atmosphere shift, being a bit of a chameleon (I LOVE chameleons their little hands and goggly eyes 🤣) so people can just be themselves.

Because that’s where the magic is.The real moments. The honest ones.And those will always be the best shots.

Well this was a bloody vibe!! When my good friend Helen asked me to take a ‘couple’ of cheeky snaps at her 50th at the amazing in Ampthill, I knew it would be an epic party… the music was perfect, the drinks were flowing and of course the dance floor was full… everyone ready to celebrate one of the best humans ever…

I am so bloody happy that one of my images has won a award… these awards are not easy to win with over 4000 images entered… thank you thank you thank you… to TIRF and to all the amazing judges and to everyone that enters and all the other winners…

Awards are not everything, but bloody hell it feels good 🙌🏽
