What next – a Gallery?
I love nice surprises, and when the The ASH Gallery and Studios in Newcastle invited me to be a partner in their business, there was no hesitation. Solo exhibitions have been a fantastic way to showcase my work, but to have a permanent exhibition venue is the ultimate dream.
The summer was spent opening up an additional gallery in the back (lots of plastering and painting!) and getting my work ready for display. It’s been a bit of a mad summer, but we are more or less there, loads of ideas in the pipeline, and a new website in the works.
Looking forward to an exciting Autumn working with Ros, Trudy and Alan – more updates to follow, as well as details of my Autumn Exhibition in the Newcastle Library Gallery at the end of October

A few shots from last nights solar eclipse shot from Kilkeel. About an hour of watching through the camera and an handful of breaks in the cloud, no more that 10 seconds at a time. Still, worth the Newry, Mourne and Down District Council Mournelive Barra Best

The Pat McManus Band rocks on the first night in the big tent at the RORY GALLAGHER INTERNATIONAL TRIBUTE FESTIVAL. Great to see the Flying 'V' in action. Fantastic performance with some classic Horslips tracks thrown in for good measure with special guests, Jim Lockhart and Barry Devlin.

Last night in the big tent at the RORY GALLAGHER INTERNATIONAL TRIBUTE FESTIVAL with the The Zac Schulze Gang. So much energy and passion at the end of a fantastic 4 days featuring so many great artists.
