Sometimes the wedding starts long before the wedding day.

As I’m getting ready for tomorrow’s wedding, I just remembered my first visit to Kilmore House Kilmore Country House

It was so nice to meet my couple and get to know the place before their wedding — to see it for myself: the house, the views, the mountains, the little corners, and everything around it.

We walked around, explored the nearby beach, met a few very curious locals 🐑 and talked about how their wedding day might unfold.

Now, as I’m getting ready for Sophie and Nathan’s wedding, I’m thinking about all those little decisions I’ll make throughout the day — where to take the couple, where the light might be beautiful, where we can step away for a quiet moment, and where the landscape can become part of their story.

I think that’s one of my favourite parts of photographing weddings: getting to know a place and imagining how everything might look in photographs.🤍
