I’m Caroline Chan, a Belfast-based photographer capturing people, brands and events throughout Ireland and the UK. Before this, I spent 15+ years in tech leading software and product projects for mission-driven organisations. That experience in brand storytelling, visual identity and customer experience shapes how I work today. I plan with purpose, keep things simple, and deliver images that help

your audience connect. My sessions are relaxed and collaborative. If you’re camera-shy, you’re in safe hands! Expect natural portraits and storytelling details that feel like you and support your brand. Away from shoots, it’s coffee, quiet walks, good books, and life with my husband and our (very stubborn!) mini schnauzer, Herb. A brand shoot built around rediscovery, reflection and moving forward ❤️

When we were planning Colette’s shoot, we wanted it to feel warm, vibrant and full of life, just like her! We also wanted to weave in the story behind the book she’s currently writing, inspired by her mum and the idea of living each day like it was your first. So we mixed quieter, reflective moments with plenty of movement, conversation and colour.

Sunshine ☀️ Juice Jar 🧃 Colette Leeson (plus an extra fabulous Colette!), Ormeau Park 🌿 the most fabulous assistant Don Leeson, gorgeous jumpsuits, colour and nature... what a combination!

And a huge thank you to the lovely team at Juice Jar Ormeau Road for being so welcoming and letting us take over a corner for our photos ❤️

For the second location of Daisy Fox Solutions shoot, we headed to Helen’s Bay, one of Heather & Alfie’s favourite spots.

Alfie already makes regular appearances in Heather’s marketing, so of course he had to be part of the shoot too! Thankfully, he LOVES playing fetch, so a ball was pretty much all we needed! He’d already been at the beach that morning too, so he was living his best life 😂❤️

Things I’ve learned: do more of what you love, spend your time with people who fill your cup rather than drain it, trust your instincts and only say yes to the things that make you happy 🙌❤️

In honour of this evening’s solar eclipse 🌙✨

My beautiful friend Maggie of Maggie McCann | Sustainable Textiles fashion Designer, sustainable fashion designer and all-round creative soul, at the Wickerman Gathering ☀️

Earlier that evening, we looked up to see what we thought was a thin rainbow completely surrounding the sun. We later discovered we’d witnessed a solar halo 🌈☀️

Unfortunately… when you hire me as your photographer, you get more than just a photographer 😉📸

You also get a marketer, creative director, occasional web consultant, content creator, problem solver and professional hype woman!

Before starting my photography business, I spent 15+ years working in tech across product development, digital and marketing. And having started my own business in my 40s, I know how daunting it can feel to suddenly have to show up online and market your wares 😅

So when we plan your shoot, I’m not just thinking about taking lovely photos. I’m thinking about your website, social media, content, the stories you want to tell and how your images can actually work for your business.

And if the thought of being in front of the camera fills you with dread, I get that too! I’ll guide you all the way and make the whole experience feel as relaxed as possible ❤️
