Due to personal circumstances, the latter half of 2025 I was not in a particularly creative mindset.

However, it was good to get out with the camera for a few hours with a friend last October to photograph the annual deer rut.

Taken at Bradgate Park in Leicestershire, we were lucky to walk straight in to see two Fallow stags head-to-head.

I have just started to have a little inspiration to do a little post-processing, therefore hopefully a few more to come!

Looking forward to this starting tonight! 😃

I have not been out with the camera for some time (July being the last outting I think!), therefore it was nice to get out to Bradgate Park last month.

This time of year is the season of the deer rut, and we were not disappointed by the show the Fallow Deer stags put on that morning!

I am hoping to get around to editing and sharing over the next few weeks! 🦌

Studies have shown that badgers and cows very, very rarely interact.

In fact, badgers will avoid cows where possible. One study showed that badgers try to stay at least 50m away from cows at all times.

Another study showed that badgers only made direct contact 4 times out of 500,000 animal-animal interactions recorded!

Talk about a rare event!

Today is World Photography Day! 🌍

Ironically, today was my first visit to the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition, currently showcasing at Lichfield Cathedral.

For me, photography is a kind of waking mindfulness, allowing me to use the creative side of my brain and showcase the natural world In different ways.

In celebration of , I wanted to share one of my most recent captures; an Osprey fishing off of the River Gwash in Leicestershire!

This certainly has to be up there with my favorite shots to date!

A little time out this afternoon visiting the Wildlife Photographer of the Year at Lichfield Cathedral.

Some really strong and creative photographs on display!

I'll have to make a mental note to enter one of these years.. 📸
