Today I’m testing out the affordable K&F magnetic ND filters on my Fujifilm GFX100S — a 102MP medium format beast. I wasn’t sure how these filters would perform at that resolution… but I was honestly surprised.

I also had a bit of a mishap involving a rockpool and my Nikon Z50II… 😅

🌊 Testing Filters on the South Devon Coast 🏖️

Spent the afternoon exploring a rugged stretch of beach here in South Devon, testing out some filters on the Fujifilm GFX100S. The long exposures transformed the seascape into something almost otherworldly—serene, surreal, and peaceful.

Unfortunately, not everything went to plan... my Nikon Z50II took an unexpected dive into a rockpool. An expensive lesson in watching where you place your gear!

Still, came away with a few frames I’m proud of—including this one. Let me know what you think.

Wistman’s Wood is like stepping into a fairytale—gnarled oaks, ancient moss, and the constant hum of Dartmoor weather shifting all around you.

Most of these images were taken with my Nikon Z6 and the 70–200mm lens, isolating little pockets of detail in the tangle. A couple were wider shots with the 24–70mm, capturing more of the eerie stillness.

The light was unpredictable—sun one moment, mist the next—but that’s what makes Dartmoor special.

Hard to believe this was just a month ago—now it’s nothing but rain and grey skies. These photos were taken within ten minutes of my house in the early evening sun. Just a quiet wander through the countryside, soaking in the warmth and calm before the weather turned.
