Intimate Wedding | Tree Top Escape

C&G chose to keep things really intimate, with just the two of them, their little growing family and the beautiful surroundings of Tree Top Escape.

Carlee is a teacher, and one of her pupils had made her a card with blue butterflies on it. So, naturally, it became our very important mission of the day to find a blue butterfly 🦋

We didn’t quite manage it… but we did find a blue dragonfly, and decided that was close enough 😂🩵

They’re now waiting for their own little boy to join the family, which made the whole day feel even more special.

I had such a lovely time with these two. They were so easy to spend time with, and I’m genuinely so glad they asked me to be the one photographing this little chapter for them.

Some weddings are big, loud and full of everything.

And some are just quietly, completely them 🤍

There’s something rather lovely about photographing a wedding when the bride is a wedding supplier herself.

Kath is a makeup artist, so she’s seen A LOT of wedding photography. Which makes the fact that she chose me feel pretty bloody lush. 🥹

Their day was beautifully uncomplicated. No huge list of group shots, no rigid schedule, no need to manufacture moments that weren’t there. Just two lovely people, their favourite humans, and a really bloody good day.

And the fact that someone who works in the wedding industry herself trusted me to photograph it? That’s a pretty special compliment 🤍

TAMMY & JACK 🌷
… and not forgetting Winnie!

Every time I visit Rosemoor I always think, “I’d love to photograph a wedding here.” Well, this year Tammy and Jack made that wish come true, and it absolutely did not disappoint.

The wind and rain were relentless for most of the day, but somehow the rain stopped during the ceremony and stayed away afterwards. We were left with a breezy afternoon that was perfect for exploring the gardens.

Rosemoor has always been a special place for Tammy. She spent lots of time there as a child with her Gran, and the rose gardens were always her favourite spot. Naturally, that was our first stop after the ceremony… and honestly, we could have spent all day there. It’s such a beautiful part of the gardens.

Then there was Winnie, their adorable pup and official ring bearer, who completely stole the show. We couldn’t resist taking a little portrait of her surrounded by the bouquets. 🩷

Jack spends a lot of his spare time working on his “rusty Land Rover” (Tammy’s words, not mine! 😂), so I wasn’t surprised when a rather enormous, very noisy 4x4 made an appearance. I’m definitely not a petrolhead, so I couldn’t tell you exactly what it was, but swipe along for the photos!

Their reception looked incredible, with the bridesmaids and family all mucking in to decorate the space and serve a delicious afternoon tea. It felt so personal and full of love.

Tammy and Jack, thank you so much for trusting me with your day. It was such a joy to finally photograph a wedding at Rosemoor, and even more special because it was yours. 🤍

Jane & Peter opted to get ready together the morning of their wedding and I love that idea. It takes the pressure / nerves off seeing one another for the first time at the ceremony. There’s reassurance from one another if you’re getting nervous and you get to walk down towards your ceremony together. Such precious moments.

Most of the time it’s like I wasn’t there, J&P were completely locked in on one another which led to some beautiful moments photographed by moi 🙃 this elopement was a joy to edit. Those of you who know me know I love green too so I was completely swooning over Jane’s dress!!

The words, kid and sweet shop come to mind! I photographed my first elopement wedding last week at Millbrook Estate and goodness me, I was in my element, I didn’t want to leave! Gorgeous setting, lovely couple and family, sun shining… alpacas!! What more could a gal want.

It was such a pleasure to be a part of M&S’s day and work with the fabulous Millbrook team and suppliers. I’ll be returning at the end of this week and I cannot wait! 💕
