I think autumn will always be one of my favourite seasons to photograph. The softer light, changing colours and beautiful golden backgrounds make the simplest family moments feel that little bit more special. 🍂

It’s also such a lovely season for children. They can explore, run through the leaves and cuddle up with you when they need to, which lends itself perfectly to the relaxed style of family photography I love.

September always feels a little bit like January to me 🤍

The summer holidays come to an end, the children head back to school and suddenly routines begin again.

Here in the studio, it also marks the beginning of one of my busiest seasons of the year.

Autumn family sessions, newborns, first birthdays and, before we know it, Christmas Minis will all be filling my diary.

There’s something lovely about that September reset. A fresh season, familiar routines returning and lots of families coming through my doors to preserve another chapter.
