River Mersey at low tide.

The weather forecast was poor, but I'm ever hopeful. Up at 6-30am and drove to Wallasey Town Hall, parked, and walked down to the river. Light was better than expected, so I ended up with some good images.

River Mersey, vessel heading for the Ship Canal locks.

It was high tide around sunrise, which limited my choice of locations. I decided to head to Eastham Ferry, arriving about 7am. This ship and tug boat arrived just a few minutes after I'd set up my tripod. Had to use a very high ISO rating in order to get a fast enough shutter speed.

The Moorings Meols

Weather forecast said full cloud cover. I look out of the bedroom window and there was the possibility of some good light. I rushed down to the waterfront, wellies on and out to my favourite boat, the colour in the sky was short lived but very good.
