I have some incredible adventures planned which I can't wait to share with you this month. It's also a very busy time at work as I'm stepping into a new much bigger role. Meaning I have a lot of settling in and adjusting to do whilst also burning through a load of overtime to sort out the remenants of my last project... it'll be fiiiiiiiine.... 😬
However its all going to interfere with my streaming schedule a bit, meaning September is kinda a sparse month regular-streaming-date wise I'm afraid.
You what you can however expect instead are pop u streams on unscheduled days and times, so keep your Twitch notifcations on!

With over 2 decades in the alternative party scene, Charlieoctogirl has been running online and IRL events for over 20 years. As a DJ, CharlieOctoGirl has gone on to have appearances at parties including Insurgence, All The Rage, pH1:techno, Bunker13, Resistanz Festival (‘25 & ‘26) and after a number of guest appearances since 2022 also joined the team at Church of Madness as a resident in 2026.

As well as all this CharlieOctoGirl boshes out videos and music of her own, livestreams, holds space for her online Discord community, and she whips up the occasional bat s**t crazy charity fundraiser and community get togethers too.

Predominantly a Drum & Bass and Techno DJ, CharlieOctoGirl also shapeshifts through genres like a true cephalopod. For this November’s Dark Neon Charlie will be mixing across Dark Alternative and Bass Heavy genres. Leaning into the Goth heart of the Goth n Bass soul in Dark Neon.

NEW STREAMING DAY! I've done some thinking about my stream schedule and there's a change coming...

I've been streaming on Sundays for years now and it's lush. I love that we have this low key afternoon together, often catching folks as you are doing your chores, recovering from raving or whatever. It's mega lovely.

However it's the tail end of the weekend, which is a busy time for me and I'm often quite tired meaning I can't give you my best. I had thought that by streaming on Sundays this would mean that when I had in person gigs I could be back in time and stream the next day, this often isn't possible and when I do it it fu***ng kills me TBH.

So... I'm moving to Saturdays. Same time, just the Saturday instead.

This means that if I'm booked for an event I'll cancel that week anyway like I usually do, just with certainty and not messing you lot around with maybes.
But it means the weeks I'm not booked or away at an event, I can be here with you with a bit more energy to give you too, which I think you deserve 😘

So as of Saturday 22nd August you'll catch me streaming from 5pm UK time on most Saturdays.

I really hope that you'll still be able to join. Maybe even this will be better for you, I don't know. But yeah. Same old WONK just a different day.

Cryptid Qu**rs Fest '26 was utterly incredible last weekend. A day completely jam packed with the finest monster and horror talent you could possibly hope to see.

If you haven't been to a CQ event before you really need to get your butt to Sheffield and experience this for yourself. These are some of the most considered events I've ever been to and holy crap are they s**t loads of fun!

I have been incredibly poorly recently, spending most of last week running the most bonkers fevers but well enough by the weekend to be out. I was just reeeeally fatigued. Yet CQ is set up to be awesome and entertaining without being an endurance test. So I was able to pace the day and really enjoy myself without breaking little old me.

The after party was a blast as well and getting to dance away my stressful week was super welcome.

Me and Køhl managed to squeeze in some countryside adventures the next day to end a lush weekend in Sheff.

Make sure you're following Cryptid Qu**rs. This is such a special event run by truly brilliant people and it deserves your support not only for that but because it's fu***ng awesome and you'd love it 🖤

DJ dates for the rest of 2026! I was so busy in July including 2 DJ dates that didn't even make it to social media 🤦 that I haven't had a chance to let you know whats happening the rest of the year!

Here's a round up of my current confirmed bookings up to the end of December with a nice spread including a bonus stream on Twitch this Friday for those of you who can't join me for IRL gigs, and the rest are nicely spread out across the place including at my residency with Church of Madness as well as a few pop up guest spots elsewhere, meaning I'm hoping to see a good few of you over the next few months. I even have a cheeky little ticket deal for you gorgeous CephaloSquad lot coming to Dark Neon Bristol if you join my Discord!

I am now taking bookings for 2027 as well! So whether you're booking for a festival, looking for guests at your regular event, a one off, or even a private party - drop me a line and lets have a chat. I play out a huge range of stuff. So while you may know me for my DnB and Techno sounds there's waaaaaay more than that in my crate and I love stepping up to new stuff too.
I have super reasonable rates, and I'm open to working with promoters at all scales. Having run events myself for a long old time I know how hard you're working no matter what your cap is!
I'd especially love to work with some more Brummie promoters.

Dark Neon is a very inclusive and q***r friendly event blending all the best bits of the Goth, DnB and Rave scenes together into one very special experience.
We've been trying to find a date together since their very first party, so I'm SOOOO happy we've pulled this off and for such an extra special THREE ROOM PARTY with this utterly fu***ng stonking line up!

With such a gut-punchingly bass heavy line up I've been asked to lean into my cephalopod genre bending shapeshifting abilities and craft a more blended Goth n Bass set that mirrors the darker side of the night which I'm really looking forward to digging into.

Catch me next at Church of Madness, Face Bar in Reading. Where you'll find me playing alongside the other CofM residents EndTransmission and DJ Simon Penguin, as well as our guests for this month Karkasaurus!

This is set to be a hugely fun night so make sure you head down and join us.
Doors are at 9pm with entry only a fiver.
