Working on location in Gran Canaria has been an absolute dream. There is something truly special about combining the discovery of a location and its culture with the ability to work abroad, all with the focus of a professional shoot.

Using the city's vibrant, colourful architecture as the backdrop for a series of LinkedIn profile portraits and commercial lifestyle shots. The natural light here is incredible, and the blend of urban textures and lush island scenery gave us exactly the energy we needed to create vibrant imagery.
This is the kind of work that keeps me inspired. Changing desks, working in different cafes and eating churros, leaving home, travelling, and shooting in such a beautiful environment are exactly why I do what I do. 😀

I am currently open to new commissions that involve travel. Whether it’s architectural photography, residential projects, business branding, or teaching workshops on location, I would love to bring your vision to life in a new setting.
If you are looking for a photographer who is ready to go wherever your project takes us, let’s connect and start planning.

Strength in the Sand. ⏳🏜️ 😀
A huge thank you to the Club De Lucha Union Antigua a team trainer, and his friends, who were so kind to Monika Momot and me, and they made us feel like locals from the moment we arrived. 🇪🇸✨Capturing this balance of grit and hospitality is exactly why I love travel.
The real beauty of Lucha Canaria happens the second the fight ends. There’s a deep sense of ‘Nobleza’ in the sand; the winner immediately lifts their opponent back to their feet so they stand tall together.
It’s not just about raw power, it’s about the "mañas." These are the traditional techniques used in Lucha Canaria to unbalance an opponent. It’s a masterclass in physics and grit, the tension in the agarre (the grip on the shorts), one moment of perfect leverage, and even the strongest puntal can find themselves in the sand.
Few more captures of the energy of the match between Club de Lucha Maxorata and CL Unión Antigua.

They say Fuerteventura is a desert island, but nature had other plans for the past months. 🌵✨😄

I felt incredibly lucky—the timing for these photos couldn't have been better.
Normally, many places would be just dust, and the sun would have scorched it back to gold. I definitely caught the island at its absolute peak.

We rented a car and put over 500km on the clock, driving through valleys that usually look like Mars but are currently glowing in shades of reds and greens. The transformation is wild!

A few things I learned along the way: If the morning coffee tastes a bit like the Atlantic, it’s because it basically is! Most tap water here comes from desalination plants. It’s a constant, salty reminder that we’re on a rock in the middle of the ocean. ☕️🌊The seeds here stay dormant in the dry soil for ages, just waiting for a rare month like this to wake up and create this "biological explosion."

Soaking in this view and feeling grateful for the timing. It’s a side of Fuerteventura not many people get to see. 🇮🇨🙌

Beyond the sport, it’s the people that make Fuerteventura, Canarias, Spain, unforgettable. Hospitality in Fuerteventura is as warm as the sand in the ring. 🇪🇸❤️😀

Lucha Canaria isn’t just a weekend event—it’s the soul of the village. It’s families cheering together, legends being passed down to the next generation, and a fierce pride in their indigenous Guanche roots. 🏺💪

The culture of respect here is incredible: The crowd cheers just as loudly for the losing team to honour their effort. I also caught the 'vueltita', where fans toss coins at the winners, and they catch them with a skill, a classic, beautiful tradition.

To everyone at Club De Lucha Union Antigua and Club de Lucha Maxorata who made a traveller feel like a local: ¡Muchas gracias! I’m carrying these memories (and the spirit of the fight) back home with me.

Stay tuned for more shots from this incredible night! 📸👇

The Remote Office 📍 Shell Island, Wales
Falling asleep listening to the sound of the sea is a highlight of camping on Shell Island in Snowdonia, Wales. Someone pinch me. 🌊⛰️
Instead of cubicle walls, I've got salt air and a mountain view. There is something incredibly grounding about working from the wild with a coffee in hand☕️✨
I take my work with me when I travel, or I travel to work. As a photographer, I feel beyond lucky to have this job and a lifestyle which goes with it. 📸💻
If you could move your desk anywhere for a day, where would it be?

🤼‍♂️ Sand, Soul, and Strength: Lucha Canaria😀
Sometimes the best travel moments are the ones you didn't plan. While exploring Fuerteventura, we stumbled upon a match in which fighters from Club de Lucha Maxorata, the local club of Tarajalejo, Canarias, Spain, were competing against Club De Lucha Union Antigua. Watching the action in the sand was a powerful cultural experience—the intensity and respect were unlike anything I’ve seen. I even got to meet a team trainer!
💡Interesting facts about the Lucha Canaria
• Ancient Roots: This isn't a modern invention. It dates back to the Guanches (the indigenous people of the Canary Islands) before the 15th century.
• The "Agarre": Every match begins with the agarre—opponents must grip each other's rolled-up shorts (calzones) before the whistle blows.
• Nobility Over Noise: It’s a "noble" sport. The goal is to make the opponent touch the ground with any part of their body other than their feet. Once the bout is over, the winner always helps the loser back up.
• Fuerteventura Pride: The island is a powerhouse for the sport. Many legendary puntales (top-tier wrestlers) come from Majorero roots.

Truly grateful to have witnessed this living history. 🇮🇨✨
