Little Bo Peep

Well I have a confession to make. 😬

This isn’t what I would class as a ‘street photo’ as I believe a certain element of spontaneity and candidness applies but with this shot I got full consent beforehand.

Either way I’m pleased with the end result and pleased I went outside my comfort zone.

But what do you guys think, does getting permission deny it being a street photo?

Step by Step

Super happy with this one. Even If it meant me squatting in the middle of a busy street for 20 minutes until my knees buckled under the impeding pressure of my upper (post lockdown 2) body.

The sacrifices you make as a photographer. 🙄

Suspended

Street photography doesn't need to appear on the ground sometimes your subject can be suspended from one of the cities greatest landmarks.

Im just glad it was him up there not me.

Happy (belated) New Year!! 🎉

A new year means new projects, new stories and most importantly new photos.

I have the next two months of content planned with weekly photos, fortnightly blog posts and bi-monthly E-Zines in the pipeline.

2021 is going to be an exciting year. I hope we have a year full of photos and fun. ❤️

Took me a while to get this image like most of my shots. Your first shot is often not the best, as well as the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th but the key is not to be afraid to take bad shots! Take it, see what works and what doesn’t, then change it!

Introducing the first issue of my new E-Zine. I've been working hard to rejuvenate my popular 'In Conversation' series alongside the first featured photographer in the series .

This series' first featured photographer is a special one. Albert Therkelsen [] at just 15 years old proves that age never has to be a barrier when it comes to photography.

In this extensive interview, we discuss his process including how he looks for compositions and his editing workflow as well as many interesting topics such as whether it's more effective to shoot alone or with someone and how he overcomes the barrier of shooting the streets.

Albert Therkelsen is a 15-year-old Danish street photographer with a big future.

On Closer Inspection….

I love this shot. Its one of many old photos that I’ve edited during quarantine that I either never got round to posting or just discarded as a bad photo. I would thoroughly recommend any photographer to go back through there old photos its amazing what you find. Stay tuned for a new post every Monday.

Exercise

I hope everyone is well and coping the with the madness that is occurring. I would just like to take a moment to alert you to the importance of exercise during this time. Obviously, being apart from friends, family and partners in this time can be extremely difficult which is why exercise is so important. It is known that even a short burst of 10 minutes brisk walking increases mental alertness, energy and positive mood states. If it becomes habitual it can also help to affirm a sense of self worth and importance.

So listen to Boris and make sure if possible you are having your daily walk, run or cycle.
