Gibson Kochanek Award-winning commercial photographers based in Birmingham, run by Marta Kochanek and Barbara Gibson Marta Kochanek is a Portrait Photographer.

Over the past 5 years, both Photographers have built a good reputation and a strong relationship with their clients. They finally decided to merge their businesses and carry on as a team. Having strong background and experience they provide their clients with professional service and confidentiality that they will be captured in their daily environment or within a studio space in a sensitive and e

fficient manner. Photography was always the hugest passion of hers. As she follows it, Marta was offered to spearhead a large, independent archival project for Annie Leibovitz in New York in 2011. She then joined Production Team and assisted the Photographer on sets for Vogue and Vanity Fair. Her photographs have been shown several times in both group and solo exhibitions, including Mall Galleries in London, Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, mac Birmingham as well as Verge Art Brooklyn and Leslie & Lohman Museum in New York. In 2012 Marta was invited to join Daegu Biennial in South Korea. Marta’s works appeared in numerous publications including The Times. National and international professionals honourable mentioned her works through the most important and prestigious photographic competitions like: Px3 Prix de la Photographie Paris, International Aperture Awards, International Photography Awards, as well as Art Kudos. Barbara Gibson is a Photographer and Photo-Researcher who mainly concentrate on Urban Photography. Ever since she remembers other cultures and countries fascinated her. She travels across the world capturing unique places with and empathy to photograph people. Long-term trips to San Francisco, Los Angeles, Mexico, Bolivia, Guatemala, Caribbean Islands and most of European countries came out of curiosity and an endless need to photograph. Awarded with an Art Grant in 2013 to develop research and photography project. She curates photography exhibitions and exhibits internationally her own works. Barbara won international recognition, when she has become a Finalist of Bursa Photo Fest in 2012.
