It really is more than just taking photos...

'Finlay is autistic and so with that he struggles in new environments, he struggles to show emotion unless he's truly happy and comfortable, he doesn't express his joy like other children he holds it in him and only shows it when he's with people he feels safe with.

He doesn't like contact or change and new things and these things make him shut down and isolate within, he opened up because you make him feel safe, you gave direction that felt comfortable and easy without pressure and he wanted to make you happy because he felt safe with you.

He doesn't give himself to people, he reads them assesses them and decides first and you made that easy.' - Matt, Finlay's dad

More muddy knees. More climbing. More den making. More bike riding.

Our children are growing up in a completely different world to the one we did and we can’t stop that.

But we can choose what we bring forward from our own childhoods.

Because maybe the greatest gift we can give them isn’t more technology or more stuff but the freedom to just be kids. 🤎
