Waterparks • O2 Ritz • Out Of Rage

I can't tell you how happy I was to cover Waterparks at their headline gig at O2 Ritz Manchester a couple of weeks ago. I've been such a huge fan of theirs since Entertainment, so to finally get the chance to photograph them was a huge honour.

Big thank you to Out Of Rage for letting me cover it for them!

Make sure to check out the written review written by Zach Davis on the official Out Of Rage website now.

Supporting The Callous Daoboys was the high energy masterclass that was Knives

To say I was completely blown away by their set would be an understatement. They tore the roof off with some heavy pit action in which if I hadn't been photographing would have gladly joined. I honestly can't wait to see this band again down the line.

Thundersmack • Band At The Wall • Manchester

Last month I had the great opportunity to photograph the duo Saxophone masterclass that was Thundersmack for their headline gig at Band on the Wall

Made up of Leo P from Too Many Zooz and Michael Wilbur from Moonh Hoch, the duo dominated their set from start to finish, spellbinding us into a dancing frenzy that none of us could escape. We were all at the mercy of their hypnotic beats blasting from their Saxophones from the word "Go". A truly remarkable performance from the duo.

Pomona • Night & Day Cafe • Adrenaline Magazine

Quote from my review from Adrenaline Magazine

Full of swagger and oozing charm, Pomona sucked us all in with their catchy riffs and infectious melodies until an unfortunate guitar string snapped, halting their set. So, what happens now? “Tell us a joke!” one audience member shouts. “What do you call a man that can’t stand?” Lead singer Ben asked the crowd. “Kneel.” The room laughed.

Ben then thanked both The Wytches and the Night & Day Cafe for having them on and continued with, “I’ve wanted to play in here since I moved here.” To be fair, if I were in a band, I’d love nothing more than to play there with all its rich history. As the string got fixed, the set continued, and the crowd danced on. Best of all, Pomona was selling t-shirts for just £7!

The Youth Play • Night and Day Cafe • Adrenaline Magazine

As the second support act of the night,The Youth Play, took to the stage, the tempo rose. Lead singer Diego Bracho echoed, “We’re going to start going crazy now!” I could see what they meant by this. With pounding drums and a monstrous bass line to back it up, the stage lit up with a fire that didn’t die down until the end of their set.

Balance and Composure • O2 Ritz • Out Of Rage

Supporting Superheaven at the O2 Ritz Manchester was the mighty Balance and Composure, who from start to finish delivered one knockout set. This was my first time catching the band live and certainly won't be the last.
