Present Focus

Present Focus Authentic photography & videography Creative mindful, participatory photo&video workshop facilitator I love being outdoors, I love the changing seasons.

I’m a person-centered photographer and videographer with 18 years of experience. I work with individuals and organisations to create meaningful content that captures their personalities and reflects their values. My authenticity and genuine interest in people are apparent in all my work. Photography is not just my job; it is my passion; when I pick up my camera I try to capture emotions and tell v

isual stories for myself and for others. My goal is to reach out and encourage others to tell their own story with courage and trust in a safe environment. I believe that each of us has a story to tell and that we should listen to and grow from each other’s stories. I offer the space to slow down, enjoy, reflect, explore, and share our visual narrative through photography. I am fully at peace when I lose myself in the beauty of nature. It inspires me, gives me clarity, and settles my spirit. Traversing ravines, getting lost in valleys, finding waterfalls and lochs to swim all year round, and walking for miles with friends in and around Perthshire nurtures my sense of adventure and boosts my creativity. This feeling of connection to myself, my friends, and to the environment, the freedom to play without judgment. It brought me the clarity to share this feeling with others and to inspire them to tell their own stories.

A Clearer Picture – Vision Board & Creative Reset ✨
A calm, creative workshop designed to help you slow down, reflect, and get a clearer picture of what matters to you this year.

What is a vision board anyway?
It’s not about predicting the future or getting everything “right”.
It’s a simple and creative way to pause and reflect on what matters to you.
Using images and words can help ideas surface that don’t always come out when we’re busy or overthinking.

Less planning. More noticing.

Sometimes seeing it on paper helps it make sense.

I took some time in the woods this week — filming, reflecting, and finding a bit of calm between the trees.
It’s funny how those quiet moments can bring more clarity than a full day at the desk.

The mist has made it hard to sit still and plan lately, but I’m leaning into it — sharing autumn as it unfolds, one moment at a time.

I’ll be announcing new workshops and gift vouchers for very soon — perfect for anyone looking to slow down, reconnect, and create from a calmer place.

For now, I’m just enjoying the gold light, the stillness, and the reminder that inspiration doesn’t always come from sitting still… sometimes it’s found on the path back to the car. 🌿

What happens when you pause long enough to hear the forest breathe?

In October, we stepped into the Den of Alyth and let nature lead the way.
Beech leaves twirled like golden confetti as we slowed down, listened, and played.
We swung in hammocks, brewed wild nettle tea, and saw the world anew through mindful photography.

🌿 “It made me focus on the small beauty of nature.”

A day of quiet transformation — of noticing, belonging, and remembering we’re part of something greater.

💚 Next A.W.E. session: this Saturday!
A few spaces left — come be enchanted by nature, connection, and the quiet shift within.

Fancy learning how to create short videos on your phone — with a mindful, creative twist?

I’m running a hands-on workshop next Friday 15th November at the beautiful Dundee Botanic Garden as part of the Art & Nature Collective’s skill-share series.

We’ll explore how to use video to reflect your values, your creative process, or your connection to nature — through journaling, storytelling, filming, sound and editing.

A lovely low-pressure way to try something new (or build on what you already know). All welcome!

Tea, coffee, and good chat included

Over the past three weeks, I’ve been working with local businesses and creatives to explore photography and video storytelling — shaping our films around what we value about our town, our community, and the environment that inspires us.

It’s been incredible to watch everyone put their learning into practice so beautifully, and this film by Something Special Flowers captures that perfectly — creative, authentic, and full of heart.

Each piece tells part of the wider story of Blairgowrie — its people, places, and the light that connects us all.

I’m so proud of what they’ve created. ✨

If you’d like to be part of the next Photo & Video for Business series, keep an eye out for dates soon!
