Small update.
Had my first chemo last Friday, the team came to the hospital and did it here at cramlington. I tolerated it well but was poorly on Monday. Been back on IV antibiotics since then and am gradually picking up. A good few ups and downs. Hoping that I’m passing the point of needing critical care, but not well enough to be safe at home, they will look to getting me out of critical and onto another ward (probably change of hospital too).
They expect me to be well enough to have my next chemo on Friday, and again, they’ll bring it to me.
Staff here have been brilliant and I’ve been well looked after.
Thank you for your comments and messages. Also, it’s been interesting to see the comments from the podcast as it seems there are so many sides of me that people know a bit about, and this has opened a bigger picture 🙂
Anyhow, an hour and a day at a time just now….onward and upwards.
They’re still tweaking my pain relief as not enough and I’m in pain, too much and I’m having hallucinations in the form of visitors in my room 😂😂😂 been rather interesting 🤣. Night all.
